On the long drive from Liberia to Cabo Blanco, El Paso was one of the few establishments open on a holiday.

We stopped here on the way to Samara for an afternoon meal. This is not a fancy place, but it was clean and the menu is varied, the food was excellent. The girl who waited on us spoke good English and was very nice. We had tacos, chicken and beef, and a plate of fried bananas, yucca, and potatoes. All very tasty. No beer is the only drawback. Good prices, great place.

My husband and I stumbled into this cute establishment on our way south. This family owned and operated restaurant has good home cooked food with real ingredients. It’s delicious, simple and peaceful. The owner is very nice and speaks a fair amount of English (our Spanish is mediocre at best).

Nous sommes venus déjeuner sur la route du retour vers Cartago. Nous y avons découvert une cuisine authentique et délicieuse, servie sous forme de buffet. Precio vs calidad está bien, podrían mejorar pero no esta mal.
También hacen postres y estaban ricos.
Cuentan con parqueo. En la noche pueden haber muchos bichos en el techo por lo que sugiero tener cuidado para que no les caigan cosas.
