Ok! Found this little “local” gem!! I kind of think the locals won’t really want me to spill the beans but the food here is DELICIOUS !!! It’s a little hard to find because it’s actually in the back end of this market! There’s a decent bar section in the back where you can get beer and a glass of wine… if you’re in the area, check this gem out and enjoy the middle-eastern food here!!

I absolutely love the food here! Good thinly sliced gyro meat and delicious dipping sauces to go with a fresh salad. Sometimes takes a while to get food, but very much worth the wait and always hits the spot! I recommend calling in your order.

Amazing Mediterranean food. My favorite Greek slaad-the dressing is delicious. Plates are plentiful. Meats are always juicy and flavorful. One of my favorite hummus to eat as well. Online ordering is available.

This is basically the deli counter inside a grocery store. Not an issue for takeout but don’t expect a restaurant. I ordered here because of the uniformly strong reviews. I ordered a combo plate so had basically some of everything. I’m not sure what the issue was but the food was pretty much inedible. It was uniformly overcooked, flavorless and dry. Maybe they had an off night.

Food was great. I would definitely order here again for take out. Was clean and cool. The service was just meh. The girl who was serving was friendly and polite but not very attentive to the patrons eating. When the food was brought out the man was on his phone and didn’t ask if we needed anything else. They forgot my baba gaboush and when I reminded her she said I didn’t know you still wanted it. Which was confusing because I did order it. Beers were good and food was really good. If they try a bit more on the service it would help. Overall good.

Service really depends on when you go. Last time it was great. Yesterday it was so bad that we canceled our food order and walked out while the waitress was still talking trash to me and being so unbelievably rude and unprofessional. The “manager” could not have cared less. So that’s a roll of the dice but delicious food. Nice atmosphere in the bar/dining room. Hidden gem inside Santa Cruz market. And BONUS you can shop for all your favorite exotic goodies in the market. Looking for a 4 inch thick tomahawk steak? The butcher’s got em! Epic. Beer, wine & liquor selection is off the chirts!

This is inside the Santa Cruz market store where one has to pay at the cashier up front near the entrance after they’ve placed an order at the back of the store. Would be good if they had a different system rather than making customers walk back and forth twice. Maybe allow them to order up front then walk to the back to pick up once ready. Staff are friendly.
FOOD:
The chicken shawarma plate was fantastic and it was a large portion. The hummus was my favorite as it was smooth, not overpowering and flavorful. The chicken wasn’t dry and tasted great with the hummus. Even the small side salad was good as was the rice. I did not eat the pita but it looked thin.

They have some delicious shrimp kebab. I used a coupon for $5 dollars off so my total was very inexpensive and made it that much more worthwhile. I would still buy it at regular price.
