New fav place to get red beans and rice!! Zach the owner is very present and personable and the food is delicious. The menu is small, so every items is perfected. From the boudin sausage to the bread ordered in from New Orleans, every bite is flavorful and complements one another. Highly recommend the dirty rice and red beans

I was born and raised in New Orleans. This is the real deal. Delicious New Orleans comfort food. Real New Orleans home style. Not the tourist stuff. The Brisket Gumbo was spot on. Dark and flavorful. The Dirty Rice had a nice heat but hearty and delicious. Plus they have free samples. And mot just the little plastic spoon. Enough for you to get a good taste. Zack, you hit the spot.

Best jambalaya I’ve ever had! My wife and I were visiting Nashville and decided to walk and explore the city. We found the farmers market along the way. As it was lunchtime, we decided to check out the food choices in the air conditioned building adjacent to the vendor stalls. There is a great selection of culinary delights to choice from. When we saw Fired Up, my choice was made. The jambalaya is amazing. Packed with andouille sausage, chicken, and rice is flavored just right. It’s the got the perfect amount of heat to it. Give it a try, I don’t think you’ll be disappointed.

They had me at the free sample! We had the most amazing gumbo, the brisket gumbo, and it was absolutely delectable! The perfect blend of seasoning that will leave you wanting more. I wish there was a Fired Up in my hometown. I highly recommend this! You will not be disappointed!

Fired Up is a hidden gem inside the Nashville Farmers’ Market. The food is legit Cajun-Creole — bold flavors, rich seasoning, and comforting portions that hit just right.

I tried the gumbo and red beans & rice — both were packed with flavor and came with a warm, crusty roll that soaked up every drop. You can tell the food is made with love and real ingredients.

The staff was super friendly and welcoming, and I noticed they’re even XPLR.NASH approved, which honestly tracks — this spot deserves the recognition.

It’s definitely worth checking out if you’re in the area and craving something soulful and satisfying. I’ll be back!

I found this spot on the Too Good To Go app while at work in Nashville, and I am so glad I did! The food was absolutely delicious. Specifically, the Boudin is amazing!! Honestly, I haven’t had any that tasted as good as my dad’s since he passed. I still have to go back and try more things, but I have tried a lot. I wish I were closer.
The service was phenomenal. The staff was friendly, engaging, and kept a great attitude even when dealing with a difficult customer in line. To all my fellow State employees: they offer a discount! Go get some great food and support this business.

So good! The gumbo was full of flavor and tasted just like Louisiana. Definitely coming back next time I’m at the farmers market.

I do not hand out 5/5 often. In fact, I try to never do this high of a rating. But this is that amazing. TL;DR: food is amazing. Chefs are wonderful and atmosphere is humble.

The smell of comfort Cajun cuisine makes its way across the saturated food hall. The aroma of slow-cooked broth mixed with fresh pork and beef creates a cocktail so intoxicating the pickiest of culinary connoisseurs will have a hard time passing this up.

The chefs are absolutely amazing. The polite demeanor of the chefs behind the counter amplifies the tenderness of the pork and beef found in their gumbo. Free samples are offered, which, without a shadow of a doubt, help seal the deal.

At first glance, this unassuming food stand is easy to overlook. However, following your nose will lead you to a magical place where unique and traditional flavors marry. The spice is so mild that even those who dislike spicy food will fall in love.
But please, don’t just take my word for it. Stop in and try it yourself.

I saw this place as I was doing research on places that the locals suggest to visit while you’re in Nashville. They were known for their really great gumbo and jambalaya. I ordered a small of the jambalaya and a small of the Zack’s gumbo. Both were great. The Zack’s gumbo was a little bit on the spicier side for me. They also gave you a chunk of French bread to go along with it. It was served on a lunch haul platter that you would use for like high school lunches which was different. And they put the bread right on the platter which I felt was a little weird. But it was great food. A great experience. It was a little hard to find them in the farmers market, but the gentleman I spoke to said that they were going to be moving to a easier area within the next couple days. The farmers market itself is great too. There’s lots of shops and different food in that area as well as an outdoor fruit and vegetable market and it looked like a nursery as well. If you were taking the trolley tour, which I definitely suggested, it takes you by here as one of the stops.

We were walking by and tried a free sample. It all was great but we fell in love with the brisket gumbo. It was absolutely fantastic! We ate our lunch and then got two to-go bowls to take home. For dessert we had the Crème brülė. It too was amazing! We definitely will be back. The service was top notch. It felt more like we were having lunch at a friend’s house then at the farmer’s market.
