Very nice and cozy pizza place. Their slices are big and rather cheap compared to other places in manhattan. Wonderful place to get a quick bite if you’re in north central park. It does get very crowded around 10-12am due to students from nearby schools on their lunch break.

Brought my class trip here last Friday and John was kind enough to open the doors earlier to show my kids how pizza is made and had them be apart of the pizza making process. He was very friendly and patient to host a class session of 22 kids and three teachers. The kids enjoyed it and had a blast! The pizza was absolutely delicious! Customer service was top notch! Eaten a few and in my humble pizza pie opinion it has to be Famous Famiglia Pizzeria… in fact next to that Persian Pizza in DC and the Pizza Pies of Chicago, the pizza served here is ace! I’ve eaten here twice now and the base is always crispy without being burnt, and the generous toppings and cheese pack a punch!! It may be controversial to say, but the New York style Pizza is in my opinion, better than the ones I had in Naples, Italy!!!! Yes, Naples, Italy!

Famiglia (corner of Madison Ave. and 97th St,) has awesome cheese pizza. I live in queens so I make it a point to stop in for a few slices when I visit area for appointments at Mt Sinai Hospital. The slice has little flop, nice crisp and tasty sauce and cheese. I give it a 7.9 out of 10. The staff are friendly and there is little wait time. They only have four tables but they also have a few high chair spots to enjoy food while taking in views from outside.

Randomly stumbled upon this place while exploring the area around the Met. I found it very authentic and had arguably the best NY style pizza. It was exactly how I imagined a NY pizza slice would taste like. I even tried their Stromboli since I enjoyed the pizza so much. Both were excellent.
