This has been my favorite place for around a year now.
Food: It’s delicious, I love the California rolls and soup, though I also like the spices crab rolls, vegetables, and gyoza is all good too. I also quite loved the milk teas I’ve had here, but I tend to like boba tea more as hot weather treat, so it’s been while since I’ve had that that. Anyways, the food is great.
Service: Wonderful, always nice and polite
Atmosphere: Even though I’ve not had an opportunity to eat in, I always walk in and make my order just so I can sit for a few minutes and enjoy the atmosphere, it’s really calming.

This is an edited review 1 year after my original review. My rating has went up from 3 stars to 5. On my latest visit the restaurant has changed since it opened. It now operates more like a traditional restaurant and has real plates and cutlery. The food was also much better prepared this time in my opinion and one of the best new features is an all you can eat option. I had sushi and hibachi and both were excellent, a real improvement upon my first visit.

The food is almost always good it takes a while to come out and might not have the right order the first time. Their prices are pretty expensive but that is almost always expected with sushi. The waitress doesn’t really come to your table other than when I ordered the first time. She’s kind just not the best waitress. It’s not like they were swamped we were the only table there. It’s a hit and a miss but really good fresh sushi for the area.

Always delicious, always excellent service! Food is made to order fresh and hot. The lunch buffet is a great deal and our favorite. This is the BEST option in Wise County for Asian food. They have an extensive sushi menu and also have delicious hibachi and appetizer options. Noodles and rice are always perfect.

Been here twice now, and this is definitely one of my new favorite places to eat here in Norton, VA! First time I got the chicken hibachi and a Godzilla roll while my husband had a combination bento box and gyoza. Our second trip we both just got chicken hibachi. The hibachi was fantastic and I would definitely say my favorite! The chicken was tender, had great flavor and the veggies were good. Now the broccoli the first time was a little tough, but second time it was fine. The rice was great! The Godzill roll was fantastic. For note, I’ve never had a deep fried sushi roll, but the crunch and taste was so good! The gyoza was also a huge hit with my husband, he greatly enjoyed them. The prices are very fair given the portions and quality. Staff have been very courteous and polite both times as well.

When it comes to food, I’m a believer of trying anything twice. Im glad we gave a Osaka a 2nd try. The 1st time we came was during their opening week and they we were very busy. The service was good but the food was lacking. We gave it a couple of weeks and tried again. It was much better than the first time. The service was still good but this time the food was much better and more flavorful. We’ve been back a few times, and the quality has stayed consistent. Osaka has become one of our go-to places. We recommend the habachi dinners, but im not a fan of the miso soup that comes with the dinners, so I usually ask to substitute it for their clear soup or a salad. We also liked the monster roll.

We’ve eaten at plenty of other sushi restaurants, and Osaka didn’t meet our expectations. The quality was lacking. The restaurant is set up like a fast food restaurant.

I AM SHOCKED!!!
Seth and I went to Norton, VA today and came across this little Japanese restaurant that we never really noticed before.
It’s called Dear Osaka Japanese Bistro; the outside didn’t really look like much but the second we came through the doors we were so astounded by how beautiful this little place was! Immediately we were greeted by an incredibly friendly female worker who helped me figure out what my first boba tea would be lol.
The interior was so adorable.
Now THE FOOD! We, in total, paid 64 dollars in total for 1 boba tea with yoghurt balls (i can’t remember what it was called BUT IT TASTED LIKE CAPTAIN CRUNCH, 2 hibachi chicken orders (with chicken, fried rice, fried vegetables, and miso soup), 1 order of crab rangoon (6 pieces), 1 order of fried mushrooms (16 pieces), and 1 order of Pork Broth Shrimp Ramen (included hard boiled egg, corn, mushroom, etc.)
Everything was SO GOOD and we had a lot to take home!
Seth and I can be a little picky but we loved everything they had there, and I can’t believe that out of all the times we went to Norton we never stopped here before!
I ABSOLUTELY recommend this place if you enjoy Japanese food We will definitely go again

By far the only place in the region that serves authentic and DELICIOUS sushi. Service is welcoming and cheerful, which has kept us coming back almost every week. Food is served in a very clever design for easy to-go packaging. Good vibes here.
