It’s rare that a meal is so perfect that even the mixed salad is stunning (not kidding, we asked the chef for the dressing recipe).
The mac and cheese bites, crispy, not too heavy or greasy, actually cheesy. The brisket bites, the same. The bacon jalapeño cheese fries, light, flavourful, moorish, not at all soggy. Then, the steak. Three of us shared a 34oz Tomahawk, salty and charcoal-crusted on the outside, juicy on the inside, plenty of meat on that bone. Come on. One of the best steaks we have ever had.
Staff were friendly, atmosphere was good. Not cheap, but didn’t leave feeling guilty at the cost. A great place to eat at in Bath, just go.

Tonight we went to Seven after our previous booking at another venue had gotten lost, whilst it was not in our original plan, we were referred to Seven and were welcomed in the best way. It turned out to be the loveliest evening with amazing customer service and a lovely atmosphere. I would like to personally shout out Kieran, Julia and Eloise! (Hope I spelt those right!) For being amazing staff and for being truly accommodating to our party as we were celebrating a 21st Birthday. Julia even managed to balance a candle in a cocktail for the birthday girl – truly the most perfect little touch!! Thank you again for your service and the experience you gave us, it was greatly appreciated. If you are ever in bath and fancy a cocktail matched with some friendly faces I would 100% reccomend Seven. Would definitely come back again!

We come in for Tomahawk and cocktails 1-2 times a month currently. Miles and his team is are fantastic chefs and I highly recommend their steak! Cooked to perfection on a wood burning stove cocktails mixed perfectly complimenting the steak.

Came for the food, stayed for the chef. Absolutely amazing meals (the steak is to die for). Really lovely experience and atmosphere, all of the staff are lovely and easy to talk to and the chef is very inviting.

I’m a huge fan of seafood and the sea bass was honestly the best fish I think I’ve ever had. You get a whole fish which was plenty of food for me, with a lovely side dish of chorizo pit beans I was stuffed! Mark the waiter paired a French Roqueterre red for me which was perfect with the smoky fish. They really know what they’re doing here if you want quality for your money. Looks like they do a nice range of small plates and cocktails too if that’s more your bag, such a good find, can’t wait to come back!

So good I went twice in two days!
I first visited on a Thursday with a group of 11. Straight away, everyone commented on how stunning the interior was and how incredible the staff were especially considering they had to deal with a large, tipsy, and at times cheerfully demanding group! They handled it all with real warmth and professionalism.
Between us, we ordered 4x T-bones, 4x Tomahawks, chicken, pork belly, prawns, mac and cheese, fries, and enough wine to float a boat. Every single dish was spot-on—packed with flavour and beautifully cooked. The whole group was seriously impressed. (The food was so good we didn’t even take a picture)
It was so good, I came back just two days later on Saturday with my wife to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We had another round of T-bone, chicken, mac and cheese, and this time tried the char siu pork—absolutely delicious.
The staff remembered me from Thursday, which was a lovely touch, and were once again friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience feel special.
If I had to nitpick, both groups mentioned it would’ve been nice to have a few steak sauce options, but honestly, the meat was so good, I didn’t care.
I’ll 100% be back!

Amazing spot for dinner and drinks with the girls. Fantastic service from arrival to end. The staff were all warm, friendly and knowledgeable. Cocktails were fab, loads of choice. Food was incredible, I had steak and it was by far the most flavoursome I’ve had in a long time, cooked to perfection. The girls had a mixture of the small plates which all looked superb too.
A choice of inside and outside seating, we chose the patio area which was ideal for a warm summer’s evening.
Look forward to visiting again.

We came to Bath for our 1st wedding anniversary and came by this restaurant by chance and it was amazing. The steak was THE BEST we have ever had and we have had a lot of steak. The waitress was absolutely lovely, nothing was too much to ask for. I would 100% recommend it if you’re in the area .. even if you’re not!! Perfect place to eat

Had some amazing food at Se7en this evening. Their small.plates are epic! We had soft shell crab with this amazing fresh dip and salty crispy seaweed. Steak tartar which was banging. Beautiful buttermilk chicken. The best pork belly ever! Slow cooked, rolled, and just melts in your mouth. We’ll definitely be smashing in some steaks next time! Cocktails were delicious, and the staff were on point.

Visited Seven in Bath for the first time and had such a lovely experience. John behind the bar made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. He struck the perfect balance between being attentive and relaxed, and his friendly manner made the whole visit even more enjoyable. It’s rare to come across someone who brings such genuine warmth and ease to their role, and it really stood out. Great atmosphere, great service, and we’ll definitely be back. Thanks, John, for making our first visit memorable! We haven’t tried the food, but most definitely intend to; it looked lavish.
