Beautiful waterfront views and great wine selections at an affordable price
If you’re looking for a peaceful wine-tasting spot with an amazing view, Hellam’s Vineyard in La Conner is a hidden gem. I’m giving this place a well-deserved 5 out of 5.

Ambiance: 5/5
The serene waterfront setting makes this spot incredibly relaxing and enjoyable. Whether you’re sitting inside or outside, you’ll get a clear view of the water, which adds a calming and scenic charm to your wine tasting.

Authenticity: 5/5
They offer a great variety of wines, especially impressive international selections. We tried a flight of 5 wines, and their Italian reds stood out as both bold and smooth—clearly chosen with care.

Flavor: 5/5
The wines were delicious and well-balanced, and the wine tasting menu had a little something for every palate. You can tell they take pride in their curation—nothing felt generic or mass-produced.

Cost: 5/5
For the quality of wine and the unbeatable view, prices were very affordable. The tasting flight was reasonably priced, making it easy to enjoy a premium experience without breaking the bank.

Service: 5/5
Our bartender was excellent—friendly, knowledgeable, and had a great attitude. She took the time to walk us through our wine flight, offered thoughtful suggestions, and made us feel welcome the entire time.

Final Verdict: 5/5
Hellam’s Vineyard is a perfect spot for a relaxing afternoon. Whether you’re a wine enthusiast or just out for a casual tasting, the combination of amazing views, quality wine, and top-notch service makes this place a standout. I’ll definitely be back and highly recommend it to others visiting La Conner.

What a great wine shop! Friendly people with a nice inventory. Shop retail with random areas for sitting to visit over a glass (or bottle) of wine. Patio on nice days and if you buy a bottle to drink there, cork fee is waived! I’m so happy the shop made it through COVID! I did an event here years ago and it was lovely. I highly recommend this business!

Wonderful spot to taste wines. They have a nice selection to choose from. $1.00 a pour but we had a deal through La Conner Channel Lodge that gave us three free pours. They have a great selection of bottles for a decent price. They also have some nice meat and cheese plates.

SPECTACULAR! What a gem of a wine store & more! A vast selection with hard to find wines from all corners of the world. The wine club is very reasonable & offers varied ways to partake! I can see us visiting monthly going forward! Excellent customer service includes a lovely back patio on the water to enjoy your purchases.

Great wine and ale shop that has a beautiful seating area outside on the river. Inside are small tables, chairs and comfortable couches. Great selection of wines and beer. Some snacks like a delicious cheese plate. Shop and area outside are pet-friendly. Friendly staff.

We’ve been going here for years. We live about an hour away but visit at least every three months. We love everything about it. The selection. The service. The views! You can’t beat sitting outside when it’s warm. They have yummy small plates too. We just joined the wine club yesterday! Not sure why we waited so long but we are officially in! Just do yourself a favor…and visit.

We sat and enjoyed a cup of hot spiced wine and a delicious Scone Lady lemon scone outside on the deck. Perfect afternoon delight. Home now savoring the amazing bottle of wine that the owner Jeff helped us pick out. Even grabbed 2 new scone flavors for later, nom nom. Thursday fun!!!
