Been here a lot of times, the matcha soft serve they have is really good. The mixed swirl is my favorite, and you really can’t go wrong with most of the desserts they offer.
The staff are very friendly and this one time I accidentally dropped ice cream off a cone, they quickly helped clean up the mess and made me a new one without me asking. It really shows how much they care about customer service and their product.
They also have another location in Ellicott city that I’ve also been to, and the standards they keep are high so you can expect good desserts no matter which location you go to

Very good matcha drink in Baltimore area
I really like this place. I ordered matcha latte with half and half soft serve ice cream. It was really good. I thought 50% sugar was still kinda sweet to my taste.
I ordered matcha tiramisu cake because it was only a dine-in menu. It was decent but not the best i had.
Very cute and casual place to drink matcha or eat any matcha related. Giving off japanese vibe.

My friend and I decided to order a bunch of desserts to go and they were all lovely.
We ordered the mochi soy cream cake, cherry blossom jello, passion fruit cake, tiramisu cake, and matcha red bean cake. I really enjoyed the passion fruit cake and mochi soy cream cake, while my friend loved the tiramisu cake. The matcha red bean cake was my least favorite, but I look forward to trying more desserts. I’ll definitely be returning for the passion fruit cake.

I heard about this place online, and I went to try it out for myself with my cousin. This was way better than I expected! I’m not even that much of a fan of matcha, but the matcha drinks here are so good, I’d LOVE to recommend it to my friends!
It’s also very clean, the workers there are so nice, they collected my dishes for me right after I finished and even cleaned up my mess after I spilled my drink on accident. I’d definitely recommend the matcha latte and the boba cake, they’re a must try for matcha and boba lovers! Although I do wish they had some more toppings such as jelly, which is the only downside I suppose.

Great place for a matcha lover 🙂 girl at the counter with blue hair is always super friendly and provides detailed recommendations/answers if you ask about something. My favorite is the soft serve. Milk cap cakes and crepe cakes are good too. You can tell that the food and drinks are made with care and the playlist is always a good vibe.

I got an ube towel cake for 9.89 and it is over priced. It tastes like ube but 8 of those dollars went into the visuals. It’s a fun dessert to try but find something else. The staff were friendly and the place is clean and nice to hang out in. There are a lot of things to try.

Kyoto Matcha is a great place to hang out and get some treats. My personal favorites are the matcha parfait and the matcha float! However, their desserts have been quite disappointing. From the matcha cheese cake and matcha tiramisu having no matcha flavor, to the matcha chocolate being overwhelmingly sweet, it seems as if the only good dessert I’ve tried here is the matcha ice cream (it’s delicious!).

Just spur of the moment late night date night with my Son. OMG! Highly recommend this place. The Dream of Sakura and Matcha Tiramisu were so deliciously different from any other dessert I’ve ever tried. Taking home Rose Strawberry Cap cake and a slice of Ube Crepe cake for later. But I know they will taste just as good. Service was friendly and quick for dine in or take out. The place was extremely clean and had plenty of seating. They even have games to play while enjoying their treats! Definitely will be back!

Having just returned from Japan and experienced authentic matcha in Kyoto, I must say Kyoto Matcha in Towson is a 10/10. The flavors are rich, perfectly balanced, and transport you straight to Japan—authentic without being too sweet. The Ube cake was also exceptional, easily a 10/10. Rachel at the front provided detailed recommendations for both drinks and desserts, and her expertise made the experience even better. They also have games to play with friends and family while you enjoy a drink/desert. I’ll definitely be back!
