It’s just a bar except….the pizza is ridiculously good..as are the apps. Service was excellent, pours were generous, drinks are very reasonably priced and friendly folk.
Was here for a darts night

Spruce Street Tavern is a classic dive bar with a laid-back vibe, serving up some of the best pizza in town. The real standout is the service—Benny, the friendly bartender, makes everyone feel right at home. Great spot for cold drinks, good eats, and even better company.

Need to be more transparent about food service. Done at 9pm on a Friday night. I burnt 2 places that misrepresented the food program. Open til 1am? Apps from 10-11 thats how its done. A former and 20yr chef. Your listing is wrong. I found you from working and traveled towns to get grub tonight. Put what your food hours are, because if im pressed for food options and you still say food till 11 next time, ima call n of its a NO, then mess you and mess your karaoke friday nights.
It’s loud and didn’t have the ingredients for an ol’fasion, no rye for my premium cocktail, took a shoot of bourbon and bounced. Not a good sign when i tipped $10 on a 9.18 tab, 1 drink!
Open til 1am but your po-dunk bar stops all food at 9pm. In fairness central Mass is all po-dunk, you can have fast food or nothing out here
-South Shore native, and that’s why err one says they from Boston in any other state. Once you get 20mls out of Boston there is no reason to visit this state.expecialy anywhere Massachusetts locals don’t even know. Im in Maynard right now, just another reason to spend my time on the coast. No food, cant get my drink, loud and karaoke, im good. 40+ just stay away on the weekends.

A true neighborhood watering hole with excellent food, friendly service and classic welcoming atomosphere! Known for their pizza, it did not disappoint – the sandwiches and apps were tasty and generous draft pours. Will be back soon!

Really liked “The Spruce” as the locals call it. It was a small cozy bar. The bartenders were attentive and friendly. They had plenty of beers on tap and the pizza was on point. Shared a large with one other guy and we were stuffed. It is thin crust style. We had it with mushrooms, pepperoni and sausage. Had a Cold Snap draft and it was pretty good. It stood up to it’s name with a cool finish and winter spices.

I don’t spend time in bars, but I can tell you they have some goo take out pizza. Their pizza is a thin crust pizza an I love it. They also have other items for takeout. Its worth stopping in to pickup a menu.
There is a nice outdoor area for playing outside games like horseshoes an things like that as well if you are planning on going to the bar for a few drinks while you wait for your pizza.

Went from the best pizza I’ve ever had just 2 months ago, to the worst I’ve ever had.
The outer crust burnt to a crisp while the inner portion was a sloppy mess.. Sorry to say that the quality has suffered under new ownership of the food portion of this establishment which is handled by teenagers. Never ordering there again. Seems like the new owner took over this place for her kids and there friends to play grownups,, oh they always high too.

Nick was probably the best bartender I have ever come across in a town/bar I have never been to before. He introduced himself and asked my name and remembered it. Bar policy might require a license/ I’d to be left to run a tab but he didn’t enforce it. I wish I lived closer to Clinton because this place could easily be my regular stomping ground.
Jimmy.
