Muchísimas gracias por un noche increíble !!! Finally visiting Olivea meant more to me than I would have ever guested. Approx. 1.5 years ago my father and I had planned a 5 day tour of the Valle. My 83 year old dad had grown up on a farm in NY and out of all the restaurants available this is the one he wanted to visit the most. Unfortunately, a week before our trip, he passed away suddenly. It took over a year for me to make the trip a reality (at the last minute) this time with my wife. The staff could not have been more helpful and understanding. They had remembered my story (when I had to cancel) and did everything they could to make it a wonderful experience. We were welcomed by name in the parking lot, followed by a night time forage in the garden with flash lights. It was magical and highlighted their extensive use of all types of veggies and herbs. My dad would have loved it. Then we proceeded to spend the next 5 hrs enjoying the full menu/wine experience. We were so impressed with the knowledge, caring and attention the staff gave us. I’m sorry that I can’t remember specific names now but we had at least 8 people visit our table to help explain the local ingredients/raw vegetables that were included in the dish, why the wine was paired with the food and of course the actual masterpiece of the dish itself. The part that was most memorable was the handwritten sympathy card we received with a fresh flower pressed in wax plus a stunning handmade sunflower to take home. This final touch was something I have never experienced in any restaurant setting. Well done Olivea friends, well done.

It’s been 3 weeks since our amazing experience at Olivea and we’re still talking about it! What a treat Olivea is, it’s truly wonderful what they are doing here. You can feel the pride and dedication from every staff member and Angie the owner was so lovely, she made sure every table was made to feel welcome. From the vegetable garden tour before entering the restaurant to the perfectly executed 3hour meal, it was a seamless and extremely wonderful and absolutely delicious experience. We cannot wait to go back again and again! Officially our favorite spot in the Valley now.

I completely love this concept and support the vision of this restaurant. Most vegetables, fruits, and plants are directly grown in the restaurants garden next to the patio space. We got a personalized tour by the owner where we got a preview of the flavors of the dinner. They are also experimenting with cross flavors that were new to me and unbelievably intense. The 9 course dinner was exquisitely put together and well prepared. This is a restaurant I will definitely come back to.

This has to be our favorite dinning experience in all of the Valle de Guadeloupe!! So much so we came here twice this month alone (from San Diego). The first time, we discovered it by accident and had one of the most memorable dinning experiences -EVER. The talented chef was SO CREATIVE with vegetables – picked from only a few feet away in their enviable garden with a freshness that will ruin all other vegetables from now on. His cooking of the uniquely chosen local proteins leaves you in awe, but it is the vegetables that you will remember. We were so impressed, we had to return only a few weeks later. We were happily greeted with an entirely new (and equally delicious) menu! The staff could not be nicer or more accommodating – from the groundsman who greeted us in the evening with a flashlight from the parking lot, to the attentive staff, owner, and chef, who came from the kitchen to welcome us back on our second visit. We can’t wait to return!

Dinning at Olivea is like no other, this place is superb in all areas: service, ambiance, sustainability, food and concept.We were greeted by the sweetest host who gave us a tour of the on site organic farm where the chef picks fresh produce for the amazing creations he will serve to his guests that day. Next, we were seated by our waiter. The interior design and ambiance was simple yet elegant. I had the vegetarian tasting menu and my partner had the meat based option. Hands down the veggies were the star of the night! The freshest, tastiest and brightest veggies I’ve ever had. With each entree the main vegetable used in the dish was brought to your table for you to see and appreciate. Once we finished our dinner, we were given a champagne toast and special note in honor of our special occasion. I let our server know that the food was exceptional who then brought out the chef himself! We were honored to meet him briefly and give our compliments.15/10 would recommend dinning at Olivea. We can’t wait to come back again.

Wonderful experience overall. It was a privilege and an amazing sensory experience. The ambience and the food were just beautiful. The service was and attention to detail was great, without being overwhelming. The main reason for going of course is the food, and it did not disappoint. Every morsel was so tasty. Loved the vegetable garden tour. A gem in Valle de Guadalupe.

Nested in the hills of Ensenada, Mya and Olivea are a fantastic retreat for peace of mind. We went for the 8 courses dinner, which was delicate and locally sourced (we actually got a tour of the garden from which the ingredients for our dishes came from!). The personnel is very attentive and welcoming. The experience is unique and they even have menus for vegetarian and gluten free.

I came hungry for an experience and left satisfied. It was a first for me to truly appreciate how transformative cooking is, because right before I was served each plate I was presented with the humble vegetables that make up the food I am enjoying. I often eat at different places on my own time and sincerely feel that the service and the entire dynamic at Olivea allowed me to just focus on the flavors, on the discoveries and possibilities of what can be done with food. I was told that I got to enjoy the debut week for their new menu which changes according to their “Huerto” (garden) harvest.
Also this is a more personal thing, but I am very sensitive to cold so being able to eat inside and not have to worry about my own nor my food’s temperature was really nice.
