Love the food here, my local go-to spot in the area! The chow mein has such a nice flavour that I can’t find anywhere else, paired with their black bean dish is my comfort meal. Chicken balls have the perfect batter to chicken ratio (in my opinion) and the curry sauce is so tasty with a good kick of spice! They have a salt and chilli platter which is good for sharing too.

We absolutely love the food from Hings Cottage! So fresh, full of flavour and portions are very generous. Everything we’ve tried has been delicious! Staff are friendly and service is quick. Also good range of vegetable dishes for vegetarians! Our favourites are the mixed vegetables in black bean sauce, the sweet and sour chicken balls and the mushroom foo Yung. Highly recommend!!

Went there because I was staying at a nearby hotel. Cash only payment was a bit odd, but went ahead with it. The food preparation took approximately 3 minutes, which suggests the food isn’t prepared fresh, and the taste confirmed it. Furthermore, the lady at the counter was pretty rude when I asked if I could have a spare container/paper plate so I could share the food with my son. She didn’t give me one unless I paid extra, which is a bit unfair after I spent nearly £15 for some re-heated noodles and spring rolls. Excellent way to avoid repeat costumers!

Just an update. I last went about two years ago and it was excellent. I’ve just been again and if anything it’s a bit better, so very excellent. Really nice tasty food.

Great food, consistent quality and their set meal for two will easily feed 4!!
There is also an extensive menu that should suit everyone. Good, friendly staff too.
Car parking is available outside the front door!
