Absolutely delicious! Warmed our bellies on a cold night. So happy we found Magela’s on UberEats. Will definitely have to visit in person one day.

This is more of a takeout spot. There are a few chairs where you can sit but it’s a pretty small venue. The wait time was long and they were busy but the food was AMAZING! So flavorful and truly authentic Haitian cuisine. They have variety in the menu and tons of items to choose from with photos so you can see what it looks like before you order.

Food is really good. They sell KREMAS which is delicious. My only problem is that they are calling it Coquito and putting coquito labels on the bottles. I need us Haitians to be proud of our culture and stop giving credit to other Hispanic cultures. As a Haitian-American that is extremely proud of her roots, this is very unnerving. Please change the name to Kremas. We can’t demand respect if we don’t respect ourselves.

I will come back and order more bottles- if they change the name on the bottles to Kremas, I will gladly change my 4 star review to a 5-star. Because they food is great and the hospitality is fantastic.

I love the food! This is the best Haitian food in NJ. I had only one issue with my DoorDash order, but it won’t stop me from always ordering here. I also tried calling the restaurant, but the call didn’t go through. Despite that, I still felt compelled to give a 5-star review because they truly deserve it!

I made it my favorite now because the staff is nice and the food is good. I just wish the time wait would be shorter because I hate spending my time waiting for a food when I already ordered through the phone.
Another point please you put too much pork on the legumes, last time I bought legumes there was no beef, no crab only pork

Will not be going there matter of fact will not be going to any Haitian restaurant. one time I ordered diri sos pwa I got sent only the rice when I called they told me they didn’t have any sos pwa. Yesterday I ordered black rice I got sent red rice it’s like a pattern when they don’t have something they will not call to let you know, they don’t care if you might be allergic if you do not like something they not gonna communicate

I ordered a black rice/ diri djondjon and got something different and the rice wasn’t good it wasn’t well presented.
Why have a restaurant when you don’t know how to serve people I ordered that because I know for sure I’ll get macaroni on the side, salad, and all the good stuff when preparing food on a Sunday in a Haïtian household.

‍♀️ ‍♀️ keep opening restaurants without knowing how to cook or serve people
My last time.

I ordered a Haitian tassot fritay platter and was charged full price even though they didn’t have all the items. I only received three fried plantains and a small portion of meat. That’s not a full fritay platter. Charging full price for an incomplete order is unfair. If I could give zero stars, I would.
