We stopped at this place impulsively an hour before they closed and we were blown away by how friendly the service is and how delicious the food is! We got fried gator and crawfish étouffée, both were great! If you’re driving between Houston and Austin definitely stop at this place midway for hole in the wall Cajun seafood

Coming from Lafayette Louisiana this place brought me home. Great food especially catfish, shrimp pasta and sides. Atmosphere reminded me of family spots on the bayou.

Went and ordered chicken strips my wife had the shrimp broil set there for exactly an hour and our food still hasn’t arrived ended up having to take it to go because my wife had to get back to work got at home buy chicken strips was burnt the fries was soggy with grease the hush puppies was probably good when they first put him on the plate but by the time I ate them they wasn’t even eatable this is the second time that this has happened will not be eating there ever again so disappointed our first experience there was really great but since then it’s really gone down as far as the food in the service charged us$2.50 for a can of soda and kept pushing us to buy more and more and more for the whole hour that we waited yeah not a good experience at all paid over $50 for food that we couldn’t even eat

The food was great! The catfish was cooked perfectly, the breading crisp and flavorful, and the fish itself impeccable. Often, catfish can be overdone and mushy, but not here; it was perfectly flaky and moist. The sides were also incredible. The okra was breaded just right, and the green beans were super flavorful. I would absolutely come back!

This place is a gem in the middle of nowhere. Not the greatest physical establishment, but the food and the people that work there are phenomenal. And they even want your feedback when they try something new. This is awesome for a small little town. And, when in season, the crawfish were spectacular.
