Wow. The service there was awesome! The sweet man and the sweet lady are so nice! I was a bit nervous I suppose to order here because I’ve never tried them before but this is some good soul food! Their chicken was too greasy and very well seasoned! They could’ve given me a bit more green beans but everything was good! The blackberry cobbler and ice cream! MWI ah chefs kiss!

Absolutely delicious! The kind lady working took our custom catering order for a work event a week in advance, and she even came in early so we could pick it up. We got the family pack and extra chicken and beef. There were compliments on the food all around. Highly recommend!!

Ruuuuuuuuun! Please save your time money and energy. This was the worst BBQ I have ever eaten. It’s a small little corner in the parking lot and it always looks closed. It probably should be. The chicken tastes fake. Every side is absolutely disgusting except for the fried hushpuppies and corn fritter. Those were straight out of the freezer. This family meal took an hour to prepare and would feed maybe 4 people who are light eaters. This is not a good BBQ spot by any means. And if you think it’s good I think there’s something wrong.

AMAZING FOOD AND GREAT PRICES!! my great grandmother and I were regulars here when I was growing up and i recently moved back to RVA and was excited to see that they were still open and had the same lady i remembered from my childhood. 100% recommend trying this place out.

Best BBQ in Richmond, hands down! I prefer Carolina Style and their recipe is fantastic! I visit once a week faithfully. Like the other reviews say, don’t let the tiny little building fool you, the food is awesome! It isn’t fast like a McDonald’s drive thru, you do have to wait just a few minutes but it is WELL worth it. Very friendly service, I love Big Daddy’s!!!

My husband and I went to Big Daddy’s Barbecue & Ribs today. We knew ahead of time that it is not fast food, it’s food to order….so it took a few minutes. However, it was well worth it. We loved both the pork and the chicken sandwiches. We were also big fans of the corn fritters and seasoned fries. The owner suggested we try the blackberry cobbler with icecream….and that was a wonderful choice!!! We will definitely be going back.

Small restaurant with the very personal touch of an owner. Very friendly service. You have to honk your horn so they will know you’re at the drive through. Many items are cooked to order so there’s a 10-12 minute wait for some items. Modestly priced items. Baked beans and green beans are tasty, and the barbecue is good. To eliminate the wait at the drive through, just call in and place your order.

I give this place a zero I wouldn’t feed a dog. I knocked on the window to add to my orders, and the wife hollered, and when I asked her husband. And I ask the husband what was wrong with her ? His reply was.maybe she nervous. I just walked away and will deal with the bank to reverse my charges. The food is not fresh they microwave the food and coleslaw is but from other vendors. Don’t waste your money. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY

Food I thought was really good. Crazy slow service, however, which is why I give it 4 stars. Very friendly though. Seemed like only 1 person, an older gentlemen was working that day, assuming the owner. Had pulled pork, pulled chicken and smoked sausage along with sides fries, baked beans and slaw.

Serves other southern BBQ favorites like fried catfish, ribs, and hushpuppies., homemade gumbo. Sides. Platters and combos and BBQ in bulk. No indoor seating. Walk up and drive through only. Mom and pop operation. Prices standard for the area. Well worth a try for NC style BBQ lovers. Don’t be “put off” by its appearance. Clean and sanitary. Friendly servers and excellent food.
