I’m glad to say that there’s a place in town that makes getting some good Indian food more convenient, as well as diversifying Fair Lawn’s food choices beyond the ubiquitous Chinese, sushi and Italian — no shade intended to any of those.

House of Naan is a clean little store nestled next to Six Happiness and near The Roadhouse (which occupies the former space of Giovanni’s).

As you can see from my pictures, we ordered the following which comprises a few visits:

– Chicken tikka tandoori platter
– “Classic dish” chicken curry
– Papri chaat
– Chicken vindaloo
– Saag Paneer
– Shrimp Korma
– Mango Lassi
– Ras Malai
– Basmati Kheer
– Chicken Biryani
– Garlic Cheese Naan

While I waited for my order, you can see that they gave me a nice, steamy cup of chai, a considerate gesture.

Everything was delicious and recommendable. The portions are large as well, unlike the other place on Lincoln Ave.

The food was thoughtfully packed in a doubled paper bag. I want to note that most of the food containers were cardboard instead of the usual plastic ones used by Chinese food places. It’s nice to know that HoN is leading the way with more environnentally friendly packaging. Heavy-duty paper plates and utensils were also provided. This restaurant is take-out only.

Needless to say, House of Naan is often going to be the option my family chooses when we say “let’s get take-out tonight”.

I liked the customer service because the cashier was friendly, and I was offered a free chai while I wait. It was nice but all of a sudden I encountered a spider right on the front counter while I was waiting – . I was not expecting that because the interior looks really clean . When I received the food, the tikka masala was pretty enriched in flavor and the naan is great too. It’s a little bit soggy when I received it though idk if it’s bc I opened it a lil too late because by the time I got home it was like an hour later. Loved the mango lassi too because it’s refreshing and made from real mangos. Overall experience a 4.5/5 if I’ll have to be honest. I’ll come back to try different meals too

With the blizzard rolling in, we were craving some cozy comfort food and decided it was finally time to try House of Naan after reading so many great reviews. We had actually stopped by months ago but didn’t realize they were takeout-only at the time — we were looking to dine in, so we told ourselves we’d come back and give them a proper try. The upcoming snowstorm turned out to be the perfect excuse for Indian food!

I’m so glad we did. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, which made the experience even better. And most importantly — the food was absolutely delicious. Everything was flavorful, fresh, and exactly what we were hoping for on a cold, snowy night. The masala chai was especially perfect — warm, comforting, and just what we needed while watching the snow fall.

House of Naan is definitely going to be our go-to takeout spot when we’re craving amazing Indian food. Highly recommend!

They have the best food ever. The spiciness was good and their quantity was perfect for 4 people. Actually the quantity was more than expected and there were leftovers. We didn’t ask for naan and rice, but they would still give to us as complementary food, which was a good gesture. The food was not spicy but very flavorful.

I’m not of Indian descent, but it is one of my all time favorite cuisines and I’ve tried many places over the years—across NJ and NYC. Without question, House of Naan is the very best I’ve ever had! Every item is cooked fresh to order—no premade curries or naan. The papri chaat is off the hook delicious—crunchy wafers, cooling chutneys, a little spice, a little sweet, and all around flavor bomb. The lamb saag is generous in size and rich in flavor. There is plenty of lamb and it is still piping hot 20min after picking it up. The naan is soft and comforting, and a must for any dish with sauces. The mango lassi is cool and refreshing, perfect for taming down the heat of the saag and papri chaat. My only complaint is I wish they were in a large enough space to sit and enjoy my meal! But everything is packaged well for pickup and keeps the food hot long after you get back home. Love House of Naan and highly recommend you try it!

House of Naan is a fantastic addition to Fair Lawn’s food scene. The food is consistently fresh, flavorful, and thoughtfully prepared, with a great balance of traditional Indian flavors and modern presentation. Every dish we tried was well-seasoned, aromatic, and clearly made with quality ingredients.
The naan is soft, warm, and perfectly cooked, and the curries are rich without being overwhelming. Portion sizes are generous, making it an excellent value. Ordering is easy, service is efficient and friendly, and everything is packaged well for takeout.
If you’re looking for authentic, high-quality Indian cuisine in the area, House of Naan is absolutely worth a visit. Highly recommended!

We ordered biryani, naan, and curry. The food was not what we expected. The biryani felt more like curry mixed with rice rather than a traditional biryani. Although the curry quantity was good, the taste did not meet our expectations—the flavors were not appealing and seemed overly tomato-based with a strong mustard seed, almost like tomato ketchup flavor.

The service was good, and the order was delivered quickly within 15 minutes, which we appreciated.

Overall, the service and quantity were good, but the taste of the food could be improved.

The person at the front was so sweet and friendly. Made us feel right at home as we waited for our food which we could see while it was being prepared. The food was amazing!!! Packed with flavor, fresh and perfectly balanced. We had the mango lassi, lamb biryani, chicken madras, and rice pudding dessert. It was a random find, but they got themselves a regular.

Ordered food for lunch. Glad that they were able to accommodate my “spicy” request. Ordered an Aloo Kathi Roll and Chili Paneer. Both were enjoyable.

I’m honestly so happy this place opened up. House of Naan might be one of the best Indian meals I’ve had in a long time… everything is insanely flavorful.
On top of that, everyone who works there is kind and accommodating.
People don’t usually think of this side of Fair Lawn when they’re deciding where to grab food, but this spot should change that for you.
It’s 100% worth the trip. If you haven’t tried it yet, go !! My favorite so far has been lamb madras.
I will post pics next time. I devour everything too quickly to think about that
