A gem in quiet and scenic Rhinecliff – where delicious comfort food meets refined elegance and sophistication (that doesn’t feel stuffy or pretentious). It’s like going to Mom’s house for dinner with warm, friendly greetings and home cooked comfort food for everyone and every taste. We absolutely loved our experience there. My wife took me for my birthday on our trip to Rhinebeck from NYC. The staff, especially our waitress Barbara were so delightful and welcoming. Started off with their pigs in a blanket (with everything bagel seasoning) because nothing says comfort food better than that and we were not disappointed! Their chicken pot pie? Has to have been one of the best chicken pot pies I’ve EVER had. My wife absolutely loved her chicken milanese (so tender) and perfect glass of rosé and their specials like their incredible apple crisp pie with vanilla ice cream for dessert were heavenly. My Kips gin cucumber fizz was so refreshing I HAD to have two. We walked out with full bellies and a big warm smile. We will definitely be back on our next trip to Rhinebeck/Rhinecliff.

The risotto is fantastic. We also had the salmon, the chicken pot pie, and the
seared tuna. All good. The cocktails were bourbon with mint and lemon and the margarita which was very spicy. The sunset was absolutely gorgeous. Highly reccomend for a date night or a night out with the family. Definitely bring bug spray!

Outside dining gave to great views of prop airplanes landing and taking off on the river along with boats and barges. There were even some trains passing along the Hudson River’s edge. After adoring the menu’s artistic prints our group had a difficult time making a final decision on their order. Learning that the homemade biscuits would be out in 10 minutes it quickly narrowed down the choices. The food was both artfully plated and full of flavor. Can’t wait to go back for an evening dinner. These owners have paid attention to every detail. Well done.

We had their burger on the Menü. I need to say, it was very delicious. I would want only some things differently and hope they will adjust it. Their catch-up is from the store. They could do better and make their own. Their fries are great just could be also made of a sweet potato. Also need a vegan version of this burger. I had vegan burgers and those were amazing. They could have offered a vegan burger with sweet potato fries and self made catchup. The only thing I didn’t liked was the plastic glass for my spritz, I would preferred real glass.

We went on Saturday to celebrate our Anniversary, we had a great time. The food was delicious and the wait staff were so friendly. My husband had the shrimp scampi, my son had the salmon and I had the Risotto. We also had the appetizer first…Pigs in a Blanket and Shrimp Cocktail they were so yummy! Our new favorite place!

Wonderful experience at kips tavern. The food was good and the vibe in the whole place was great, and that was before I got the food.
Everyone has been talking about the pot pie and I have to say, it was really good!
The energy continued to be good as I enjoyed a cocktail and a glass of wine.
I hope they plan to open the terrace soon because the view is great but cannot get food out there yet.
I feel lucky to be one of the first here. Because I have no doubt the wait will be long when word gets out.
