Been wanting to try Pinks ever since I went to their other location ( Chicago Culinary Kitchen) and I am so glad I was able to attend an event at Pinks.

As soon as you walk into Pinks you feel you are in Key West. Lively music and fun decor makes Pinks the perfect spot to try fresh seafood, craft cocktails and delicious brews.

The owners Greg & Kristina are so generous in making you feel right at home and let you try unique dishes that they have created.

We started with a couple west coast Gazpacho Oyster Shooters. I never tried a raw oyster so this was a first for me. Very tasty and it paired well with one of the many drink samples they provided.

Next up was one of my favorites..NE Clam Chowder with a touch of Cholula..delicious!

After another shot of one of their tropical drinks they brought out HUGE Jumbo Fried Shrimps which were the Bomb!

If that was not enough, the next round was a lobster roll with fries. Their lobster roll is served on a brioche roll, drawn butter and chives. The fries were seasoned with Old Bay. I need to go back for another one!

The main course was a 40 lb smoked grouper. It was so moist and flavorful with a hint of smoke flavor. Unbelievably good!

Last but not least was my favorite dessert of all time..Key Lime Pie with a graham cracker crust.

I will definitely be back as Pinks has so many more menu items that I need to try.

This place is a seafoodies dream come true!

I have been to Pink’s a few times now, twice for the Supper Clubs and twice for regular service. I wasn’t surprised at all how awesome everything is. I have been sampling this guys seafood since 2018. When ever there was a seafood special at their other restaurant, Chicago Culinary Kitchen, I made sure to be in line, so when I heard he was doing a seafood restaurant at the old location i was very excited. This seafood place will not disappoint.

The secret ingredient is love, this guy cooks with such passion you taste it. Don’t take my word for it, go for yourself and taste the love!

The clam chowder is the best I have tasted, the lobster roll was the biggest and tastiest I have had, the Oysters are so fresh you will think you are seaside.

The special I had last night though was so good, I am tempted to run back over there today. It was called the Thai Salmon Bites, eat it with a spoon so you get the broth with each bite. PhenF’nominal!

I will be a regular!

I came here for an event last night and we were treated to an insane and wonderful meal –
we got to experience one of their supper clubs! Although I highly recommend you attend the super club (which are scheduled), in the interim, you can go and try full size items off their regular menu.

I wasn’t expecting to drink anything; so, I was shocked when we were given a shot of the purple people eater boozy punch to start. But, it didn’t end there. We were given a shot of each of the seven boozy punches on their menu! My favorite was the Hemingway!

THE DRINKS:

Purple people eater $14 :
White rum, coconut rum, coconut cream, pineapple juice, & ube

-stronger than I expected (haha)

Hemingway $12 :
Rum, maraschino liqueur, lime juice, grapefruit juice, ginger & demara soup

– Spicy and my #1 fav

Pink bikini $12 :
Vodka, peach schnapps, grapefruit, maraschino liqueur, grenadine & Demerara syrup

– Good balance of sour and sweet (ties for second place fav)

Scorpion $14 :
Gin, aloe gin, aged rum, brandy, amaretto, orange juice, lime juice, demarara syrup

See ya later alligator $14 :
Vodka, tequila, rum, gin, midori, triple sec, lemon juice & Demerara syrup

– midori Long Island

What’s in the waters $14 :
Tequila, blue curaçao, pineapple juice, lime juice, Demerara syrup

– Pineapple Margherita. For the regular size, this would have a gummy shark and red aloe gin float to look like blood 🙂

The big orange $12 :
Vodka, orange vodka, triple sec, lemon, lime juice, orange bitters & demarara syrup

– orange crush without the fizz; my second fav

The food was delicious. Everything tasted extremely fresh; nothing had even a hint of that “too strong” fishy flavor (if you know what I mean).

THE FOOD:

Gazpacho Oysters Shooters :
Bosu oyster, celery, onion, cucumber, tomato, sherry vinegar, olive oil & bourbon

– Such a refreshing way to start.

Clam Chowder :
Little neck clams, bacon, potatoes, stick, cream, celery, thyme, parsley, & touch of cholula

– great spice….wow! The added Cholula made this unlike any chowder I’ve had before. I usually hate clams, and I never order clam chowed because it is too strong flavored for me, but this…. This is a game changer!

Jumbo Fried shrimp :
Breaded with flour, cornmeal then deep fried

– wonderful flavor even without the cocktail sauce; the cornmeal was a wonderful change from the usual batter; and the shrimp was cooked perfectly!

Mini Lobster roll :
Toasted brioche roll, lobster, drawn butter & chive

– hot and buttery, just the way I like it! One of the best I’ve ever had.

Grouper :
Cherrywood smoked whole grouper topper with lemon, caper, diced onion served with saltines

– holy cow! By this point, I was nearly stuffed. I couldn’t believe they made a 40lb fish! This had wonderful flavor and I wish I had more room to finish it off, but that’s what to go boxes are for.

Key lime pie-
Graham cracker crust, whipped cream, and lime

– okay, I am super picky with my key lime pies, and this one was amazing. The only thing I didn’t like was the whipped cream- it was a tad too sweet for me, but the pie – yes!!!!!

I had no idea there was such amazing seafood in the burbs. I’m stoked! I wish it was closer to home, but a 45 mile drive isn’t that bad, when you’re going to have such fantastic cuisine.

Hidden treasure. Don’t let the neighboring businesses confuse you, Pink’s is a very cool restaurant. Amazing fresh unique food, creative drinks and wonderful desserts backed up by the best customer service with a smile. Seating inside, outside and cool bar seating available. Small but very cozy establishment. Parking for Pinky customers to the left of the restaurant.

My friends and I stopped in the other night for the supper club and were not disappointed. First time trying the place, definitely not the last. Great addition to Palatine food scene.
(I’m hoping the pictures post in the order of the way the courses were served)

Found this place online last night and one menu item “Lobster roll gelato” caught my eyes. Went out to try it tonight and it was delicious, highly recommended. I had miso desserts before but lobster gelato is first. I must go back to try other items on their menu and another round of lobster roll gelato. We also have lobster mac and cheese, clam chowder, coconut shrimps and ube cheesecake to go. Everything was really good. Only one suggestion maybe the clam chowder could have been a little less salty and less spicy.

Grand slam! Another awesome restaurant by an awesome couple. Pinks’s has a great feel. Well lite and fun atmosphere. Service is exceptional and friendly.

Large selection of beers and wine. Specialty drinks are fun and tasty.

I had a the lobster roll. Best I’ve had ever and I’ve had them from coast to coast. Perfect flavor blend of lobster and butter. The bread was fresh made and everything melted in your mouth.

Home make chicken fingers are to die for. Huge and tasty. Perfect mix of breading and chicken.

Hands down the best Key lime pie. Perfect crust and fresh whipped cream topped it off.

I can’t wait to go back and try everything.

12/10 would recommend! Holy cow, the lobster roll just melts in your mouth, and you better save room for some key lime pie. Also, everyone is so kind and friendly- especially Michael and Sal!

We stopped in for lunch on a Saturday and everything we had was delicious. The drink was strong, the seafood was fresh, and every dish came to the table hot. The service was also top notch. We’ll be heading back again soon.
