So good! Highly recommend getting the Tots, they were perfectly crispy, and the large was more than enough for 2 people. The mild wings are delicious and spicy. Also had The Griffin sandwich, it was huge so could also be shared should you leave your appetite at home. The worker was very friendly and so efficient at getting the order out. Saw someone else have the chicken parm sandwich and it too looked delicious. Order a cocktail or n/a at the bar and you won’t be disappointed.

So yummy and crispy! I got the Firebird sandwich with tots. It was delicious! The chicken was tender and very crispy. I even enjoyed the bun, which I haven’t since going gluten free. I highly recommend checking them out!

I met the new owners today and they were so sweet and helpful! They have lots of new ideas for the menu and have made it dedicated gluten free.
The Firebird sandwich and tots are one of my favorite meals in downtown! Very excited to see what else they will bring on.

My husband and I have been coming to Firebird for a while, before the new ownership. First off, we have always ordered the nuggets the sauce HAS ALWAYS been on the side. Note: menu has not changed to suggest they are tossed. However, mentioning to the gentleman working about this, he was very rude. And suggested we ask for sauce on the side aggressively. We are fully aware that we prefer sauce on the side and ask for such at different restaurants that say sauce tossed. But when you have been coming to an establishment for a long time, always enjoyed the food never had nor needed to complain. you should advertise what you’re deciding to do. And not expect your customers to know. AND NOT BE RUDE, to people who have supported the business, and the businesses new owner. Such a disappointment from the gentleman working the counter. Letting our friends know, and won’t eat here again. Pho King has good wings(gluten free when you ask)

The service was great. This was the worst chicken sandwich I have ever had. Two bites made me feel sick and had an aftertaste. The tots had a similar sour taste. I believe the oil was rancid.

To respond to owner/manager of this account; I can’t call, I’m working, unable to take/make calls at the time.
That’s why I placed an online order. It’s disappointing that your usual response to negative reviews is “I wish you would have come back up/called”. I wish you’d take feedback to heart & truly understand where your customers are coming from. I can’t afford to eat out often so anytime this happens, it really sucks. Telling me to call you instead of leaving an honest detailed review of my experience isn’t a good move. I used to love y’all’s food, as I mentioned, unfortunately it changed. I’m sure you take pride in your food, but please work on understanding & responding to feedback. I hope you grow from it.
The reason my review doesn’t get a full 5 stars is for the Dragon Chicken Rice Bowl, the main reason I ordered from here. This bowl used to be so so good. I haven’t had it in a while so I ordered it today and when I opened it, I knew something was different. The ginger sauce they used to put on this was a sticky, glaze style flavorful sauce. You used to be able to see it very clearly. I knew immediately the sauce was almost non existent on my meal, personally I couldn’t really taste it but I could smell it maybe? Which sucks because it was my favorite part when I used to regularly buy this meal. It also appears they no longer put in as much kimchi as they used to, it’s a light amount of little slivers of carrot and cabbage, it used to be bigger chunks of cabbage they put into it. Maybe I got the bottom leftover bits from an almost empty container?
Tots are still super good. Be warned however that if you get ranch, it does not taste like traditional ranch, I do wish they’d specify the unique flavor of their ranch on their online menu for those who are expecting the traditional house made ranch.
I ended up just picking at the meal, lost my appetite over how much I spent only to be disappointed. I know this isn’t a big deal but to me it feels like it due to how much I spent for everything plus tip, delivery fee. I don’t mind spending the money when the food is good, it’s not possible in this economy often though. I love supporting local even if it does cost a bit more when I can, but man what a letdown. I’m disappointed, won’t go back unfortunately.

First, the Chicken sandwich was AMAZING! Chicken was crispy, tender, and seasoned perfectly. The gluten free bun was SO GOOD, I had to question whether or not it was REALLY GF. It held together, didn’t crumble, and didn’t taste like cardboard! This place is a win! The location is right downtown-the building it is in has other places to eat, a bar, comfy seating, and a pool table. Great place to grab a quick lunch alone, or to meet up with friends for an evening out. This was my first time here, and I will 100% be back! I cannot remember the last time I was able to eat fried chicken, much less a sandwich, in a restaurant!! (Excuse the bite out of the bun in the picture- I COULD NOT believe that this was GF, and had no self-control to not try it!)

After a disappointing experience elsewhere and being the “forgotten table” we found ourselves at Avenue 19 and chose Firebird Chicken Sandwiches for dinner. We were not at all disappointed, the chicken was fresh, hot and juicy. The house made sauces were some of the best I’ve ever tasted! Food took only a few minutes to prepare and they text you when it’s ready. Staff was friendly and attentive to answer any questions.

I just dined in for my first time today. The comfort bowl was ridiculous. Riiiiiidiculous. I only had some take out that mymy love brought homes few weeks ago and even in a take out order it was the tits.
All of their sauces will blow your hair back as well. Their blue cheese is so good- so is their ranch and their 3 buffalo sauces. WHAT?! Keep up the good work, please. I’m obsessed.
