Went for lunch we were starving so ordered a lot of food. Chips, salsa, guacamole, and queso was excellent! If you just want an appetizer that selection is a great one due to the amount and quality of ingredients.
Enchiladas with the green sauce was excellent and the tacos were too. Really enjoyed the Jimmy Margarita! Service was excellent and friendly. Would definitely recommend. We left over fed but worth it!

Over the weekend my husband and I had dinner here for the first time. I was hopeful after reading the reviews, but we left disappointed. The tables were uncomfortable, especially for my tall husband because the table base is a barrel, leaving very little room for your legs. Pros: the restaurant was decorated nicely, the rice was good, my husband liked the pollo a la crema. Cons: I ordered prawn (shirimp) fajitas and asked for no bell peppers. According to the menu the dish is supposed to come with poblanos, onions, and bell peppers. My husband asked about the poblanos after the dish came with only onions and the server blew us off, acting as is if she had no idea that there is a difference between poblanos and bell peppers. She did not ask the kitchen about it. Unfortunately the side of black beans was so salty that I couldn’t eat more than a couple of bites, husband agreed that the salt level was a bit high. Overall this was not a positive experience for us and I would not return

What a little gem on Third Street. So Many homemade options. I felt like I was back home where Mexican restaurants actually made homemade refried beans and a Verde sauce that didn’t come out of a can. Plus some good Margarita choices. Thank goodness the changed out the barrel tables. I hit my knees constantly. Please try this 1. I was not at all disappointed and its a family owned place.

We were greeted warmly upon entering and seated immediately.
The interior is warm, welcoming and filled with wonderful things to gaze upon.
The food here is NOT your typical Mexican food, it is fresh, delicious and unique. I enjoyed their mole enchiladas, which were spectacular! Mr. Wonderful had the carnitas, rice and beans. I tried his refried beans – the consistency and flavor are incomparable! I tried the jalapeño, mango margarita and Mr.Wonderful had the Tita’s margarita. I generally do not drink tequila, but found my cocktail to be unique and delicious.
The service is exceptional. Not only are the staff friendly and knowledgeable – they are fluid (teamwork) which creates a flawless dining experience. I believe we met almost everyone working here this evening.
I cannot wait to return!

This place was very good and authentic. My thing is the beans, any Mexican resturant I go to I have to try the beans and see if it tastes like the beans my grandma would make. These beans did taste like my grandma’s. Food came out hot and delicious. I would definitely come again if we were in town.

Stumbled upon Abuelas today and had the most delicious lunch! The margarita was so good and they bring the shaker so you can top off your cocktail. I ordered the fish tacos that is fresh not frozen and comes from pacific city. Salsa is so good and spicy. Will be back to try other dishes.

This was a quaint spot with tasty food. Loved the decor and service was great. We shared a plate of steak fajitas which we enjoyed. Appreciated the perfectly cooked veggies and all the accompaniments. The prices are a little steep but alas, that seems to be inflation at this point.

First visit. Clean restaurant, great and fast service, very yummy food! Guacamole was excellent, and a generous portion. Had Chilaquiles with red sauce and Carnitas platter. Perfect amount of spicy in salsa and sauces, not nuclear but some quality heat. Looking forward to returning and trying more menu items!
