The establishment is clean and comfortable. We were seated at a table by a young man who brought over menus and took our drink order a short time later.
He would return to the host desk at the entrance and seemed to be distracted by an electronic device, phone or a pad. He finally took the food order and brought utensils.

The lemonade was delicious! I ordered Jerk chicken with red beans and rice and garlic green beans. The chicken has good flavor but was on the dry side, the rice and beans were nice and the garlic green beans were okay. I think they may have come out of a can. My friends Curry Chicken was very tasty and had nice depth of flavor. The sliced rice had a little heat to it and she had the same garlic green beans. This came to $43 plus a gratuity.

Give them a try.

I was really looking forward to this Jamaican/Caribbean food, but this meal was a complete letdown.
• Rice and peas: dry, hard, and flavorless — tasted old.
• Mac and cheese: this was the biggest disappointment. It came out like mashed potatoes — overcooked noodles, no cheese pull, and tasted like jarred Alfredo sauce. I paid extra for this and it was inedible.
• Butternut squash & spinach curry: watery, oily, and unappetizing in both taste and look. The spinach was stringy and the squash mushy.

Paid around $20 total ($2 upcharge for rice and peas, $5 extra for mac and cheese) and didn’t even get a drink, plantain, or any patties. Just a small scoop of dry rice, that so-called mac & cheese, and a soupy curry all mixed together in a foam box. Which also spilled over into the bag.

As someone who works long shifts in EMS, I grabbed this on the go and couldn’t even finish it. I wanted a refund but had to head back to work. This food was not worth the price — disappointing in flavor, texture, and presentation.

I rarely leave reviews, but this was a complete miss. Hopefully they take this feedback seriously and improve the quality and consistency.

The fried plantains and the jerk chicken were phenomenal! Ask about their new in house hot sauce. You will not be disappointed. They were very popular for takeout but I recommend sitting in. Great atmosphere, bright and inviting. Wait staff and the chef were first class! I’ll be back!

I had a wonderful lunch today. I enjoyed everything I ordered. I had the beef patty, ox tail stew, flat bread, rice, and beans. I had ordered the goat stew, but the waitress informed me the chef said that it wasn’t tender enough yet. That was unfortunate, but I respect the chef’s standards. It was my first time having ox tail, and it was incredibly tender, relatable to pot roast but more tender. I’ll definitely be back with my family to explore more of the menu.

This is one of my favorite places to eat. I remember stumbling accidentally across this restaurant while I was hungry and lost in broad street. The food felt so comforting and I could feel the love in it like a home made meal. The quality never fails to impress me and the owner has done a great job making the atmosphere vibrant and peaceful. My only wish is that it was open more days.

I had the chicken curry which was excellent! The sides were okay, but the chicken was definitely the star of the show. Parking is sparse, but we arrived for lunch and found a spot close by very easily. We were the main customers during lunch, so wait staff were very attentive. I would come again.

Absolutely not. Never coming back. I was so disappointed. They were super nice ppl. With a super cool environment to vibe in. But please hire a cook / chef/ or somebody’s grandma to cook for your customers. This is embarrassing.

The absolute worst Caribbean food I have ever had the displeasure of eating. There was not any salt used, the cabbage tasted of curry ONLY, it wasn’t cooked, the rice was mushy. Worst $20 I’ve ever spent. And you charge $1 for a souffle cup of gravy?!

A lovely little spot with friendly, professional service and delicious, plentiful servings. I got the curry chicken with rice and gravy and cabbage and carrots. There was no wait when I went, but parking was a little sparse. Don’t let the location away from Broad Street stop you from trying this hidden gem.
