There might be many a Holder’s Country Inn, but this location is THE BEST. by miles! We’ve never had anything but amazing service. It’s always bustling with patrons, but not so overwhelming that we can’t find parking and a table. All the folks who work here are fantastic, friendly and welcoming. They immediately bring us juice, coffee, soda water and our food arrives impossibly fast, no matter what we order. We never left here anything less than completely delighted and we’re here at least once a week. Israel, Chris, Santiago, Kiana and Sal are all the very best!! Thank you, and of course we’ll be back!

Holder’s Country Inn
Holder’s has become my diner favorite. I have repeated many times for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. All my meals have been satisfying and filling. I recommend trying the comfort food daily specials like the Steak and Peppers. The Rib Eye Steak dinner was excellent and a good value. The Liver and Onions is a great, not easy to find anywhere else dish. The soups are thick and hearty, almost a meal itself.
Clean and modern spacious interior. Service is always excellent.

This is a decent restaurant serving mostly American/California Cuisine for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. We had the Asian Chicken Salad and Chicken Cobb Salad for lunch. Modern spartan interior. Very clean and bright. When we arrived at 11:30am it was mostly empty but by the time we left at 12:30pm it was packed. There are lots of hard surfaces but tables are spaced reasonably far apart so noise level was moderate when it was full. Has a bike rack on the sidewalk near it’s front door. They take Apple Pay.

First time visiting this place and I was so impressed! I tried the California omelette souffle which came with fresh avocado, tomatoes, and mushrooms. It also came with two giant buttermilk pancakes and hash browns. Easily the best tasting and fluffiest eggs I’ve had in quite some time. For $15 you get enough food to feed 3 people. The portions here are extremely generous to say the least!
To top it off, their house coffee is actually good which surprised me. The staff is very friendly and attentive. Overall, Holder’s is a wonderful addition to downtown Los Altos. Highly recommend.

First time trying this place. The food was great and the service even better! Erika was a wonderful server and ensured our meal was exactly what we wanted. She also always kept my coffee cup full which was a bonus. Will 100% eat here again.

Mediocre breakfast foods. Cold toast, mushy (canned?) corn beef hash, water filled dish of poached eggs, uninspired boring waffles. No effort to make things great.
Service was friendly but incomplete…food was late, bacon came after other food was already consumed.
Setting is ok and clean
Price was ok.
No desire to return over other places.

Country SIZED burger.
I wanted a old fashioned meal, I was tired of the fast food chains burgers, and I got that and more, by the way, the burger comes with fries, I ordered onion rings and extra fries, the onion rings are a little crunchy, but perfectly cooked, and thank you Israel for the excellent service.

I have never been to the original locations (Cupertino, San Jose) of this restaurant chain and therefore had no expectations for this “diner” restaurant. The menu states breakfast, lunch and dinner served all day. I ordered the mushroom, spinach, avocado soufflé omelette for which I opted to replace the toast with a pancake. (I emphasized single when I ordered and now wonder what I would have gotten if I didn’t make this request). My fellow friend opted for a waffle and was treated to a nice caramel-brown Belgian waffle. The omelette had a rich buttery taste and fluffy texture. A cross-section view of the omelette uncovered layers of eggy-goodness, meaty mushrooms and fresh spinach. The accompanying hash browns were very (too) crispy. Pancake was delicious. I ended up eating 50-70% of what was offered. So next time I think I will share my breakfast “family” style.

I had the steak and eggs for brunch, the quality of the steak is horrible. I ordered a med rare and it was still very hard, not tender at all. I would expect a chain restaurant to have better quality control on their meat. I mentioned this to the waitress and she just smiled. I definitely would not go back.
