Love their saimin and cone sushi. Also their plate lunches and specials hit the spot.

Craving some Maruki Tei! Ate here a lot when I lived here. I miss the mochiko chicken, Mac salad (best ever), chicken tofu, and sweet potato tempura! Can’t wait to go home sometime soon so I can eat my favorites! Wish you were here in Washington. What makes Maruki Tei so good is that all their food tastes homemade!!!

Local, Japanese comfort food. Great bento. Mochiko chicken goes out fast, love the winter melon with chicken. Long lines but worth the wait. Loyal servers. Noisy, crowded atmosphere because it is a bustling food court.

To date, my fave saimin & okazu place. Grew up eating there when from their old location. Same Aunties serving up great food. And now my kids love this place too. ❤️

Friday, October 22nd at about 2pm My family paid a visit to Maruki Tei in Windward Mall. Normally thís is a pleasant visit to a favorite local food outlet. Thís day however was múch different. My complaints are as follows: 1: The Inari sushi was dry and did not have the customary sweetness ór savory flavor tipical of the Japanese favorite. It was also over cooked and dehydrated ón its edges, making it uneasy to chew 2: The,’ I think’ vegetable tempura was all batter, with hard to find vegetables. It was also filled with cooking oil and flavor of oil. 3: The Teri-Chicken had more chicken skin then it did meat. The meat had been filleted so thin, that you barely had a mouthful with your meal. Teri-Chicken Skin would have been a better word for thís food item. 4: Saving grace perhaps was the silver dollar sized hamburger patty sitting atop what resembled noodles. Thís was topped with brown gravy which was the only decent flavor in thís combination. The burger itself tasted like oil and rubber. Which made it quite disgusting.
It has been several months since my last visit to thís food outlet and thís will bé my last. The only saving grace for my take home meal was that I bought Tofu-Eggplant from the chinese food stand next door, which was awesome. Maruki Tei you are done in my book.
I have never written a food review, but thís is my first and worst food experience ever. I hope thís never occurs again.

Their vegetable, sweet potato or shrimp Tempura is great for office parties. You’re lucky if they still have their yummy Maki or California rolls and cone sushi left when you get there. maybe call ahead. The dashi for their saimin is my favorite.

Surprisingly good. I ordered ala carte kalua pig with poi on the side. Taste was good for food court Hawaiian food and they didn’t add sugar or water down the poi. Service was smart, quick and friendly. Not bad at all!

If am craving for Korean food, this one at the food court area of the Winward mall is my go to place. I tried other Korean restaurant around Kaneohe but Maruki Tei serves the best Korean dishes for me.
