The staff here is nothing short of amazing—and the sandwiches are equally as great!! I got the “Jaymeetless” and added veggie bacon. My bf got “Beast Mode” and we both left very satisfied.

After hearing so much about Ike’s, ultimately decided it was over hyped. The best Dutch Crunch is in San Diego at Rubicon Deli, this bread did not compare. Probably way too many options, can’t be good at all of them. I ordered a steak sandwich and was lacking steak, all filler no thriller. Baja steak sandwich at Board and Brew trumps Ike’s. Overall average.

Stopped by Ike’s on a whim on a trip back home from San Diego. I was warmly greeted by the staff and Gary was the star of the show! He was so wonderful, making suggestions for everyone that came in about the best bottled drinks and ways to make sandwiches “Gary’s Way!” He had customer service that I haven’t experienced in a while, and I wanted to come on here and say please go to Ike’s! It’s delicious food and great people working there, I’ll definitely make the drive back soon!

Whenever I visit California it’s always a treat to visit Ike’s for a vegan sandwich. Love that they opened in Irvine – perfect spot!
Simply put the vegan selection is epic – so many tastes options with vegan cheese options. On the pricey side that’s the only downside and the only aspect is knock it for but the sandwiches are very nice and filling.
If you’re in a rush and there are 1 or 2 people ahead of you be prepared for a bit of a wait also.

I had high hopes for Ike’s. I had meant to go to the Tustin location when it opened, but was never in the mood for a sandwich while in the area. After learning a location opened in Lake Forest, I stopped by to check them out and pick up an easy dinner. I ordered the 957 (The Damon Bruce). The dutch crunch roll fell apart in my hands. The steak tasted like it came from a low quality TV dinner. The provolone cheese was missing. The onion rings were completely wet and so undercooked the onion was difficult to bite through. Nothing was very warm.
I might try another location sometime, but it’s unlikely. $32 spent on two sandwiches. They weren’t worth even the time spent waiting in line to place the order. (It was empty inside. The wait time was 0).

The amount of meat on this $15 sandwich is a joke. Ike is no longer the Ike’s of old. Still a tasty sandwich but a sad cry from the original few locations in SF.

If you’re hungry for a sandwich, look no other place than Ike’s. Ike’s is hands down my favorite sandwich shop. The staff is super helpful and friendly. The sandwiches are awesome!!! So many different options- seriously, a ton- including halal, vegetarian, and vegan. I try to get a new one each time. My go to sandwiches are the We’re Just Friends, Friday the 13th, and Madison Bumgarner. Ike’s has been my go to sandwich shop for a minute and I’m super happy there’s one now in South OC!

My online pick-up order 2 days ago was made quickly and the vegan “pumpkin” chick’n pesto sandwich was so tasty and built well with even flavor throughout. Adding lettuce and tomato made it amazing. The avocado slices were NOT paper thin and they were fresh. Wish I took a photo but a girl was HUNGRY and this sandwich definitely satisfied. My only quip is about the area itself. It’s a slighly tight parking lot in front of Ike’s, so be mindful if you drive a large car.

We got the “we’re just friends” & “menage a trois”. The “we’re just friends” was my favorite from the two. The chicken was soft, tender, and the zesty orange glaze paired perfectly with the avocado. The “menage a trois” was warm and crunchy. The halal chicken went really well with the BBQ sauce & honey. Not a typical sandwich, but it’s one of the best I’ve had!
