The Grill at Poppy Ridge is a popular lunch destination for golfers and non-golfers alike. The large but intimate dining room, accented by vaulted ceilings and floor-to-ceiling windows, capture a show-stopping, panoramic views of the surrounding vineyards of the Livermore Valley Wine Country and rolling hills of Poppy Ridge Golf Course. In addition to the indoor dining room, the patio is a majestic place to enjoy a meal or cocktails. The Grill serves up an extensive range of menu items for lunch, a special sunset menu leading in to dusk, and champagne brunch every weekend.

As part of a spa day with two friends, we decided to lunch at Poppy Ridge Grill in Livermore. It was absolutely delightful! The restaurant offers a stunning view. Our lunch was delicious, featuring fresh, flavorful dishes that were beautifully presented. What made our experience even more enjoyable was the attentive and friendly service provided by our server. Our dishes were served promptly, our drinks were kept filled, she made sure we had everything we needed which contributed to the relaxed atmosphere. I highly recommend Poppy Ridge Grill for anyone looking for a high-quality dining experience in a beautiful setting. PS the Thai Dragon Chicken Pita with coleslaw side was amazing.
Our biggest challenge for our party was service and communications not flowing from the manager to their staff. While booking the place, we were told that we couldn’t plug in our laptop into their Audio/Video. However, they have a very good A/V set up and the bartender had to jump in to help us set up.
On the day of the event, the events manager wasn’t on site. While we had an agreement with the events manager that after the formal cake cutting their staff will cut and put the cake in small plates. The staff wasn’t aware and it took forever for them to cut/plate it, while most of our guests left.
This place has potential, if it is run more professionally. They could be my chosen place for parties/events, if they can up their game on food and mostly event service. Hope management takes note.
