Social Profile:

Lamp House Coffee is a mountain oasis – a city on a hill (Matt. 5:14). Guests can enjoy world-class lattes, frappes, smoothies, and our specially roasted, freshly ground Coal Miners Blend coffee – named in honor of the area’s rich history. Breakfast and lunch are available, as well. Lamp House Coffee is an outreach of Meridzo Center Ministries located in the once-booming coal mining community of Lynch, Kentucky. A Christian ministry, our staff is here to serve (literally) the people living in and passing through our community. We are happy to be able to provide part-time jobs, to pray with those who come in, or simply to offer a great coffee experience with a smile.

Amazing coffee and Friendly people. Worth the stop. We will definitely be back. The muffin was fresh, the bacon cooked just right, the biscuits and gravy was amazing, and my husband loved the breakfast croissant.

Great little coffee shop with some delicious drinks and a few good food items! Super friendly staff! I got a chai, and it was superb!

Nice location, too, with a stream flowing under the building and a coal mine tour right across the street!

One of my favorite coffee shops! The staff is always very friendly and patient. Consistent quality products every time. There’s a bit of a wait for food if they’re busy, but it allows you time to enjoy your drink. The view from the outside patio is so neat. You’re right across from Portal 31 and the Dragon Slayer welcome center.

Very cool stop for a quick breakfast. Wish they weren’t broadcasting Fox News propaganda

We stopped in for a cup of coffee and had some breakfast sandwiches. The coffee was fabulous–a medium roast call the Miners Blend. The sandwiches were delicious, inexpensive, and generous.

We enjoyed the decor, hospitality, and info about the history of the building and the town. We also appreciate that this is part of a ministry in the town.

Large drink menu, kind staff, prices are very fair for the amount you get. The strawberry smoothie was good, but tasted slightly watered down. The inside was decorated really nice and they had a cute little shop where they sold shirts. The man working there told us the history/story of the town and the coffee shop. Overall it was a very homie and good experience.

A truly wonderful and adorable coffee shop with a wonderful ambiance, delightful staff, and delicious menu. I visited Lamphouse coffee with a group of university students performing a service project in the area, and Lamphouse Coffee was not only able to keep up with the horde of hungry teenagers with merely two staff members, but the owners were also kind enough to take the time to talk to us about their story and mission. The coffee shop is incredibly cozy and has a truly welcoming and homey vibe. Their food and drink selection is truly incredible, and I was wildly impressed by the quality of everything they served. I ordered a cinnamon roll and scrambled eggs for breakfast, as well as a chai latte with almond milk. However, while the atmosphere and food were perfect, the true highlight of this spot was the incredible staff. Both owners are so amazingly kind and dedicated to not only serving great food and coffee, but also to providing a gathering space for their community and offering a place of refuge for people seeking love, guidance, and/or support. They are truly doing such a service to their community, and I cannot stress enough how impressed I am at their dedication to helping others.
