Just stopped in for a little lunch for myself, and wow is this soup delicious!! I got a small broccoli cheddar, with a garlic knot. The soup is all freshly made and the knot was hot and buttery! Easily some of the best food I’ve had in Colchester (not that the options here are generally very good). The soup is creamy and flavorful- I could see lots of specks of butter on top– a flavor bomb! I ate so fast I didn’t get to take a picture, so you’ll have to believe me.
The woman behind the counter is very lovely, too! Super nice and friendly to me. She’s running the entire place by herself and that’s so impressive! It’s clear she has a passion for soup. I came in about 30 minutes after opening, and everything was hot and ready to go. Very clean and cozy inside! There’s a little table that I bet you’d be welcome to eat at, but I had my soup in my car.
I’m very sad that I didn’t find this place sooner, because I’m moving out of town in a couple of days. This is a fantastic lunch option if don’t want fast food, and want to spend a similar amount of money!!

Never thought I would be this excited about having a soup spot in town, but Rose makes some of the best soups I have ever had. Reminds me of my grandmothers homemade soups. The flavors are amazing, and the soups are so hearty you will be filled up right up. If you haven’t stopped by yet, you need to get down to this spot and try it. You will be glad you did!

My friend & I totally enjoyed eating & visiting each other at the Soup Cafe. OMG! The Wattermelon Gazpacco Soup. Fresh & cool & very tasty. I tasted the one with Sausage as well. Excellent seasonings – such good flavor!
