Wes and I try to visit Martin’s in Livingston once a month or so. Today we had to work in the afternoon and didn’t feel like cooking. We had a few cold beers with friends and a few appetizers. We tried the bbq Pork Skins with queso and the Ultimate hush puppies. The Pork Skins were fantastic. I really liked them. The hush puppies were really hard and dry; hard to chew but Dalton, the bartender, gladly brought us another order. The Pork Skins were still better. We brought home a Club Sandwich, the Cordon Blue sandwich, and the Philly Steak and Cheese. Good food, good service, cold beers, and good times. We’ll be back.

My wife and I wanted to check out this small community, Livingston. And to our surprise there was a block of restaurants and stores. We stopped In For lunch and had a good time. This whole area looks pretty new everything is nice and clean slightly upscale. Some areas are still under construction. I got the burger with no bun and my wife got the catfish. Our order came out fast and fresh. Nice and hot. Had a very friendly waitress and overall a good stop.

The Cindy’s Chicken sandwich was nothing great. It certainly looked better than it tasted. And the Red Beans and Rice was below being fair- the sausage was thin and tiny and never had a taste to it – but – worst of all the rice was not fully cooked and was hard as nails.

We enjoyed a delicious, affordable meal here. The pork bite nachos were really good. I ordered the Redfish Kathleen (also really good) and my husband ordered Calvin’s steak bites (super tender and cooked perfectly). We went on a Wednesday and the drink special was half price bottles of wine.
Our server was fantastic and very friendly. We wanted to take our time enjoying the bottle of wine we had ordered and she made sure to give us space and not rush us. We will be back

Martin’s in Flora never disappoints. Our recent visit—like many before it—checked all the boxes: great atmosphere, excellent food, attentive service, and very reasonable prices. It’s one of our go-to favorites, and we’ll definitely be back.

I ordered a $30 6oz filet well done, but it was actually so burnt around the edges it was too hard to eat. It also did not look like what a filet cut usually looks like. It was very thin. When I asked for it to be redone, the manager came out and was very rude. He said that’s the way it is going to look cooked that way and I should just order something else. I’ve never had a manager be so rude or indignant. He didn’t seem to care or want to help at all. He did take it off the ticket but did not apologize in anyway. Will not go to eat there again.

Sadly disappointed because my family and I decided to try them for the first time for a nice lunch on the patio. The weather was perfect and they weren’t too busy. The sign at the entrance instructed us to seat ourselves, so we preceded outside when I locked eyes with an employee behind the bar. As we sat patiently waiting to be acknowledged by 1 of the 3 employees who came out to the patio, I noticed 15 mins had passed with nobody even telling us they would be with us in a min. I decided we would leave and take our business elsewhere, but after my wife asked to speak to a manager…she was directed to the guy I had previously locked eyes with behind the bar who claimed “I didn’t see y’all”! I am thoroughly disappointed and do not plan on ever going back!!

Today was our first time here, this place is where it’s at, the food was so delicious the service was superb and the atmosphere is awesome. We will definitely be back from now on. You will not go wrong giving them your business.
