The ambiance was charming, and it was nice meeting the owners — there’s a lot of warmth in the space. Unfortunately, the tea service itself was disappointing, especially for the price point.
I was initially served only the sandwiches and desserts, with no explanation of the savory selections until I flagged down our server again. Shortly after, she had to leave and service was passed to the chef. The garden salad I ordered didn’t arrive until nearly an hour later, which disrupted the pacing of the meal.
The savory offerings were underwhelming: two small chicken nuggets and a tortilla filled with cream cheese and topped with raspberry jam. The tea sandwiches were also unbalanced — the chicken salad was overly sweet, and the cucumber sandwich very salty due to the addition of olives. Portion sizes were fair, but the flavors missed the mark. Plus you have to choose the sandwich flavors while booking your reservation. You don’t get an assortment like other tea services.
Desserts were not made in-house and tasted a bit stale. The only house-made item was the scone, which turned out to be gluten-free (not mentioned beforehand) and had a crumbly, grainy texture. Condiments were very limited unless purchased separately. I was not offered additional hot water for the tea until the very end.
My final bill was higher than advertised and included a mandatory 20% gratuity regardless of check size. While the charm of the setting was there, I wouldn’t recommend the tea service or return based on the limited menu and overall experience.
Quiche was delicious, soup was tasty. I had a ginger turmeric tea – loved it.

It up on the side and wish I had thought to take pictures. Also there was a strawberry top in there meant for the trash. There was something in the salad that had grains of dirt in it as if the lettuce celery or something was unwashed so I did not eat much of it. Desert was a disappointment. Our waitress did not know any flavors or what was gluten free. The only thing she did well was bring our check and take the credit card. For $72 for two people. To have tea a salad and a sandwich two macroons and a slice of cake they could have done a lot better!!!
