Not far off interstates- WORTH THE DETOUR! Pull over for some delicious, well cooked, tasty food. Good portions. Definitely the “BANG FOR YOUR BUCK “ budget friendly pricing. Good service. Homestyle goodness. The catfish is DIVINE. The veggies are full of flavor.

Laura’s is tucked away for sure, but once you know, you know. Walk up ordering, be careful on the hours as they change a lot. Catfish meal and two sides were on the specials board. The catfish was seasoned very well it just wasn’t a lot of fish in the catfish compared to others close by for the price. Sides were just okay. Hushpuppies were great. The place is dated, but you are not there for the ambiance of the restaurant. I’ll have to try again but today was okay.

This is a local gem. Don’t let the location fool you. This is premium home style American cooking. Menu changes daily, lots of delicious entrees, sides, and desserts. I prefer places like this over national chains like Cracker Barrel (no offense to them). This place is the real deal, food is always hot, fresh, and delicious.

Located at the stockyard. We had their 1/2 shrimp and 1/2 fish platter Cajun spiced. It comes with fries, hush puppies, and coleslaw. This was the best coleslaw that I’ve had. The shrimp and catfish were done perfectly. The Cajun spice was a light hint.

Tonight I had the catfish dinner, the catfish is some of the best I’ve ever had!! Their baked potatoes are huge and fluffy, their coleslaw is creamy and delicious. Not to mention the staff is SO SWEET! Their quality food for reasonable prices is unmatched. My husband loves the fried apple pies. It’s definitely one of our favorite spots near us.

Had blackened grilled shrimp. Mac & cheese, white beans hushpuppies! Made my slap my mouth out! Good home cooking inexpensive! Totally recommend going. BTW got an extra order of mac and cheese for dessert. Attached to stockyard itself. Best meat and three. Large variety of dessert too.

We happened to go on a night they were very busy with a horse show. They knew this was coming and they did not prepare for it. It took 55 minutes to get our food in the meantime they were waiting on people’s to go orders that were coming in after us and just left us sitting at our table. I ordered a Manhattan and it was so salty I could hardly eat it. I took most of it home and fed it to my dog and I will never go back…

Love love love y’all’s catfish! Green beans are amazing as well as the coleslaw! Just a word of advice nothing negative though please put some seasoning salt on those french fries and you guys will be at 100%! All positive five star review here!
