I ordered their sechuan soup, it was okay. I would not order it again, but the garlic noodles my friend got were good. I did enjoy their sesame balls. Just be careful parking at their parking lot! My car got broken into, none of the businesses have cameras, and the owner of this business was very condescending when we asked for help/ if they had any cameras. That is why I gave them a low review. Will not be back.

I go here specifically for the “Betty’s Noodle Soup” which is spicy and delicious. It has a spicy pork broth, several kinds of meat (including large shrimp), wheat noodles, broccoli, carrots, and jalapenos. I always feel great after enjoying their soup.

I dinged the atmosphere for the bathrooms, and some other stuff in a corner that might be old stuff but the eating area, while dimly lit is a nice area and well kept.

If you are looking for noodles I would highly recommend you give it a try.

This is our go-to for noodles in Santa Cruz. Every time we’ve visited the food is clean, quickly prepared and full of flavor. We usually come in too close to closing but they graciously seat us anyway. I’m a big fan of Betty’s Super Soup and D’s fond of pretty much all of it. There’s also a massive selection so there’s always something new to try. Additionally the items we’ve had that are labeled “spicy” are indeed spicy but not painfully so. For a reference, whenever we go to Dave’s Hot Chicken (also very good) we have the “medium” and it’s slightly spicier than Betty’s “spicy”. I’m really surprised that Betty’s ratings dropped below 4 stars.

It is definitely the BEST soft tofu chow mein dish I have ever tried in my whole life! If you’re in town. You should definitely give them a try. The chef really knows his/her stuff in the kitchen.

Prices are very reasonable. $$

Staff did not speak fluent English but very nice and sincere. He will bring you whatever you need. The older lady server did not put the hot soup bowls to the seat of the person who ordered them. That is the reseaon for the minus 1 star. They are good servers and come to get our order in a timely manner. We did not have to wait long. Food came out fast and delicious.

Parking is a very small lot shared with other shops in tiny Plaza. We had to park 1 block away on the side street.

The food I received was visibly moldy. There were green and white mold patches on the lemon slice, and it had a sour, rotten smell. The bean sprouts were also not fresh. I didn’t eat the food because it was clearly unsafe and inedible.

I was very disappointed and expected a full refund. However, Uber Eats did not provide a direct way to handle this issue, so I had to call the restaurant myself. They told me that I had to come in person to get a refund — which is very inconvenient, especially considering that I ordered online to save time.

When I visited the restaurant, the service was poor. One man raised his phone while the receptionist was handing me the refund. I asked if he was taking a photo of me, but they didn’t respond. They looked at each other and smiled. He left in the middle of the conversation, which made the situation even more uncomfortable.

In the end, I got my money back, but only after taking the time and risk to go there myself. They also told me over the phone that they are closed on Mondays and Thursdays, which meant if I didn’t come today, I would have had no way to reach them the next day.

Overall, the experience was frustrating, unprofessional, and inconvenient. I would not recommend this restaurant.

Hmm. I don’t know about this place. The food was decent, but that’s about the all positive one could say.

The young woman who waited on us, seemingly would have preferred that we were anywhere else on Earth.

And the space is not great. It’s way too l, open and there are massive televisions in the room. Additionally, they have someone bussing tables with a loud cart that makes it feel like a high school cafeteria (He actually hit my elbow with the cart and just kept going.)

Yeah, it’s not great.

Today, we arrived at the beautiful seaside paradise of Santa Cruz, California, and stumbled upon a hidden gem of a restaurant called Betty Noodles. This place is an amazing Asian eatery with incredible food. I tried their delicious Soup Dumplings and their signature Super Soup. The portions are huge, the service is super quick, and everyone is so friendly. The interior is gorgeous and perfect for gatherings. I highly recommend this restaurant! My family and I will definitely be back. Highly, highly recommend!

Been here twice and went back for the same thing. Delicious yellow chicken curry with coconut rice. Hands down best yellow curry curry. Friend had the same curry in a broth. We’re already planning to go back.

Gluten-free friendly. Have rice noodle options. The sesame balls tasted like they had just been made.

This Korean/Chinese/Southeast Asian/tiny bit Japanese fusion noodle and dumpling palace is what dreams are made of! I had the spicy Szechuan super soup, with wheat noodles (kind of like Ramen noodles and perfect). The broth was delicious, tons of perfectly cooked veggies and lots of noodles and beef. Wow!
Can’t wait to work my way through their extensive menu but it will be hard not to get this same soup ever time. ❤️
It is a little grungy and the bathrooms are to be missed if possible but it all just adds to the authenticity!

Ordered dumpling soup, pork buns, and spring rolls. The soup was delicious and filling but both rolls and buns were mediocre. Also in the packaging there were no utensils to eat with which made it difficult. But overall a good, full, meal.
