We had seen Oma’s House a few times as we often travel the road it is on. We like German cuisine, so we decided to give it a try, and definitely were not disappointed. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. The restaurant was clean and inviting. Tried the jaeger schnitzel and beer hall schnitzel and both were excellent. The German potato salad was also delicious. Also, I accidentally left my credit card and the owner was nice enough to contact me and mail it back. Will definitely be making to hour and a half journey back to enjoy more German fare.

A true hidden gem!! I got the German charcuterie platter as my main course and made 3 meals from it! It was served on a tree slab and was absolutely delicious!! They offer a nice selection of German foods with some American and kid friendly options. The black forest cake was delicious as well. My husband had the wurst sampler and my daughter had the schnitzel. They both enjoyed theirs as well. The cold German potato salad was white. No mustard, but had what tasted like a sour cream base. Different, but very good. Portions were generous. It feels like you’re eating at someone’s house. It is very cozy with exposed beams and brick. They bake all of their own breads and rolls as well as their desserts. The bread rolls were delicious as well as the herb butter. They offer a variety of beers on tap and bottles both import and domestic. They also have a small gift shop with items and goods from Germany. Staff was very friendly and explained any dishes and talked about upcoming events. Bathroom was very clean and homey. I would also recommend the kraut balls appetizer. They tasted like a deep fried Ruben sandwich. Amazing!! I can’t wait to eat here again!! It was definitely worth the 90 minute drive for us!

A different style of food much worth trying. Their home made chips are great and the choices of beer both bottle and on tap are flavorful! If you’re interested in trying this place, don’t hesitate.

Check this place out. It’s a hidden gem in a small town. This is the first time I’ve ever eaten at a restaurant and no one picked up the salt and pepper. Our food was seasoned to perfection. I cut my pork steak with a butter knife! The sauerkraut is phenomenal!!!! Everyone loved their food. The German beer selection was a plus. They have a dish called Roulaudan that I wanted but it was “thawing” and I was unable to order it so I improvised. I was not disappointed. Delicious! A 5 star rating would’ve been given if menu items were available at all times. Also, a gentleman next to me wanted a certain beer but he was informed it wasn’t cold yet. This place is still worth checking out for sure. We will be back!!!

I had extremely high hopes for this place, as I love German cuisine. I’m my opinion, the food was all very bland and lacked flavor and seasonings. The potato salad looked great, but I think it could’ve used a little more flavor to make it stand out. The Jager schnitzel looked great, but the mushroom gravy on top was not that great. The schnitzel burger was decent. The service was wonderful and the restaurant was very clean and the theme was nice.

Great little place to stop. Best selection of authentic German beer and sundries I’ve ever seen outside of Deutschland. We just happened to be passing by otw to Bristol/Meadowview area when we stopped on Trivia night Thursday. Food was great, trivia was fun, hosting was top notch and we took a ton of to-go items from the little shop area. Get enough to go or you’ll be sorry you didnt grab more. Cookies were great, bread, chocolates, etc all yum. Keep doing it right, this Cincinnati kid and his friend enjoyed themselves thoroughly.

Service was great! My fiancé and I loved it. The food was spectacular and the atmosphere was so nice. Very cozy and the most true to authentic German cuisine I’ve seen in a German restaurant so far.

Took the family in for lunch and had to listen to loud metal music coming from the kitchen competing with the music in the front. The worst part was the food was all absolutely flavorless. No seasonings at all, it was quite a disappointment. Drove all the way up from the tri cities because the reviews looked good. Dont be fooled by small town people who are too nice to leave a bad review for a local place and drive up its ratings. It isnt worth the trip if you’re local and youll absolutely be disappointed if you make a day trip out of coming here.
