Random stop on our way home from Peddlers Village in PA. Pleasantly surprised how good the food was here. All the dishes were well portioned and had fresh italian flavors. Staff was warm and friendly even though we were the last table there before they closed. Large fireplace was a great touch.

This was my first time here, some of the people in my group have been here many times before and highly recommended it. This restaurant does catering and can do parties like mine.
I can see why this restaurant was chosen. We were a group of 10 people celebrating a Christmas Party. We had a reservation and were seated immediately.
The dining room itself was lovely. It was decorated beautifully with Christmas decorations, a large Christmas Tree in the corner. They have a mantle over the fireplace that was lit up and decorated with Christmas lights.
What made this room extra special was the gigantic fireplace that had a roaring fire going as we sat and enjoyed our food and each other’s company.
The setting was traditional and on each wall was framed pictures. I kind of felt like I was in a Southern home. In a separate room was a nice size bar with flatscreen TV’s.
We started off with cocktails and appetizers. The dishes that were chosen:
MUSSELS ALA VINO- I got them in a marinara sauce with garlic crostini for dipping. The mussels were delicious.
CALAMARI FRUTTI- fried calamari with capers, black olives, sun dried tomatoes, and caramelized onions.
Along with TRADITIONAL FRIED CALAMARI-with MARINARA. Both Calamari’ dishes were delicious.
MOZZARELLA EN CAROZZA-
Served with marinara sauce. These were crunchy and the middle oozed with fresh melted mozzarella.
LITTLE NECK CLAMS AND SAUSAGE- Lemon, garlic, herbs, crostini. These clams were sweet and smokey from the sausage.
WINGS- (Medium Heat) the wings were crispy and flavorful.
For my entree I chose their Special. STUFFED FLOUNDER WITH CRABMEAT-It was light and tasty. It also came with a vegetable risotto, which was really delicious.
Other dishes that were chosen were PORK OSSO BUCCO-Vegetable risotto, and pan gravy
POLLO PARMIGIANA-Boneless breast of chicken breaded with marinara and melted mozzarella
POLLO MILANESE-Boneless breast of chicken pan-fried topped with arugula, onions, tomato, balsamic vinaigrette
SALMON-Pan-roasted salmon with pesto sauce, seasonal vegetable saute, roasted potatoes
GAMBERI SCAMPI-Jumbo shrimp, lemon, garlic, herbs, over spaghetti
PENNE VODKA-Peas, prosciutto, a touch of cream, tomato, and a splash of vodka.
We then went on to desserts.
TIRAMISU, LEMON SORBET, TARTUFO, ICE CREAM SUNDAE, RED VELVET CAKE.
Everyone in our group thoroughly enjoyed their dinner and their desserts. It was a very relaxing and peaceful evening. Our server was wonderful and very attentive. Even the owner came over and checked on us. I would definitely return and try some other dishes.

First I made reservations online which is offered! The owner did not have our reservation and then told us we were early for our reservation, we were right on time.We had a gift certificate and thank goodness because I would not pay a $1 for the food. The service was great but the owner, menu, and atmosphere are straight out of Kitchen Nightmares. The owner reprimanded staff in front of customers. My husband ordered lamb chops med rare and they came out well done. I had Chicken Francese and it was bland with zero flavor. The waitress Thersea and Bartender/Hostess were the only good part about this place.. 100 % DO NOT RECOMMEND!!! Thersea and bartender please find work elsewhere.

Our waitress and bartender were outstanding! I wish I could say that about the owner and the food. My wife, daughter and I had reservations and the owner acted like we were an Inconvience telling us we were early when were on time this was right after telling us we didn’t have reservations! I ordered med rare lamb chops that were well done. The calamari was absolutly flavorless. So we decided to order dessert getting it to go hoping that this would at least bring some flavor/joy to the evening. I ordered the cheesecake with fresh fruit. Haha got home and I kid you not it was a piece of cheescake you get from bjs with a whole unripened strawberry as the fresh fruit For $12!! I would absolutely NOT recommend! It’s clear that the food is frozen and the chefs or the owner doesn’t care anymore

I have had a poor experience here before they had closed for a bit but when I heard that Jonas from 55 Main fame was there as the head Chef, we were all willing to give this place another try. Jonas’s food is the best but even his cooking will not save this place as it all comes down to service, which is subpar.
Some things never change, the biggest flaw with this place is the service. You walk in and there is no visible “check in” desk or kiosk. There was a very noisy bar to the right and stairs in front of us, so we walked up the stairs and were greeted by a woman who had an attitude, “What are you doing up here?” I told her we had reservations and she walked us back down the stairs and into the Bar to a small kiosk/desk that was NOT visible from the entrance to ONLY be taken back upstairs to our table.
There were 6 in our party and we waited much too long for someone to come over and greet our party. When they finally did, I asked for the Wine List and was told, “We don’t have one to give out because the prices are wrong”….. Okay, so I asked what Cabernet’s they had and she started reading off names as if I knew how much each variety was, I finally stopped her and just said give me the “House Cab” and asked for the price so I knew, which she replied “I don’t know”.
We had to ask for bread for the table and when it arrived there were four pieces of bread for six people. When we asked for more we were given major attitude.
As mentioned prior the BEST part of this place is now Jonas and his food, it was fantastic, that being said, as much as I liked the food the poor service will prevent me from coming back for sure.
Time for our bill and even though we asked for separate checks to make it easier (as I am sure the current staff could not handle splitting the check) my bill was still incorrect as there was an item on my bill from another couple. BUT first I received a check and card from another table!!!!!
NEVER had a bad experience at 55 Main (ever) and it’s unfortunate that I will miss Jonas’s culinary delights, as the service here will definitely keep me from a return visit.
The success of a restaurant never solely lies on the food, but also the service and I will never sacrifice service no matter how good the food is.
This was the flaw prior to Jonas coming on board and it appears that the poor service has ported over to the second opening.

What a gem this place is! It was my first time dining here I came because I heard about the live music they had on Fridays. The band was awesome and no cover charge made them even more awesome! I was pleasantly surprised at all the options on the menu. Its an Italian place and they also have bar fare as well (burgers wings etc) I sat at the bar to be close to the band and I ended up getting the blackened chicken Caesar salad and it was 10/10. The bartender was also very cute and friendly and made sure to keep my thirst quenched! I will be coming back next Friday to try the oven brick pizza

I can’t believe I spent the money I spent here. I just came home from there, and ordered three apps to go. We ordered Korean BBQ skewers. There was NOTHING Korean about it. It was just bbq sauce, like sweet baby rays. That’s embarrassing for a restaurant! You can’t claim to have Korean BBQ and not have it. It’s false advertising. Included a pic. We also got the chicken parm potstickers. Included a picture. There is nothing potsticker about this dish. It tasted like canned pasta. We also ordered the eggplant, mozzarella, and tomato app. The tomatos were unripe and crunchy. These apps are $12-$14 a piece and are terrible. I have never left a review before for any restaurant, but I will never go back there and you should never order from there.

My husband and I decided to have our anniversary dinner at this restaurant. The atmosphere was cozy and pleasant. The service was excellent. Our waiter was very attentive and when there was a mistake in my entree, he apologized and was happy to correct the error. Our Caesar salad was delicious as were our entrees. We will definitely return and sample some of the other entrees on the menu.
