First time here with friends on a Saturday afternoon and what a cool place! We sat at the bar and shared a bottle of champagne and got a bunch of plates to share- which this is a good place if you enjoy that. We were told they get a lot of their products seasonally and locally including from our very own Tampa Meacham Urban Farm! The menu is kind of an eclectic fusion (also full bar but had nicely varied mocktail & non anlcoholic offerings as well) – but still very approachable! We got the drug eggs, Meacham salad, tuna tostada, loganisa sausages, and the palomilla steak sandwich on Cuban bread! Everything was very good and all made by the owner/chef only. Overall good food, good atmosphere, good service- bartender was great! Ended with a delicious espresso martini Definitely recommend and we will be back!

Sooo Lara has apparently been open for a while and I had no idea because it always looks closed when I pass by. We finally stopped in on a random Saturday for a couple of drinks and I’m glad we did. Chris had a great vibe and really curated our drinks, which were super tasty. The space itself is stylish but relaxed, upscale without feeling stuffy, plus there’s an upstairs market and a speakeasy tucked away in the back. He mentioned they host events from time to time with different bartenders, which sounds fun. I definitely want to go back and try the food; it looked like there were some solid options. I’d recommend this spot to anyone looking for a chill place to grab a well crafted drink and enjoy some relaxing music.

W O W. If you are in town or a local here to Ybor, you’ve got to come to Lara. The service is impeccable (thanks Kevin!!) and the drinks and food are spectacular. This was my second time into Lara and it will not be my last. I highly recommend any drink on the menu. Kevin not only makes these concoctions beautifully, each drink looks and TASTES like art. I couldn’t have asked for better service. I decided to try some food off the menu this time around, too, and discovered their French fries with truffle sauce + banana ketchup and they are a must. You will not only be pleased with the food and service, they have a whole other aspect to their bar that has an upstairs with books, candles, and a plethora of other items that you can browse as well, with their speakeasy section with a hidden room behind the bookcase.

Suz and her team made my birthday special with a signed card. Chris & Conner provided a great experience at the bar. They super attentive and friendly. The Sunshine State spiced my evening along the charcoal Wings. The wings had a great level spice and char. Then I asked Chris & Conner to be creative with next drink…it as similar to a paloma but smokey. Next up was similar to a margarita but with a twist. I got to chat with the owner & chef Suz and husband. The atmosphere has a New Orleans speak easy vibe. People can have conversations, great food and awesome crafted drinks with fresh ingredients which elevates the experience I think since there many choices these days. Thanks for a great evening!

This place had some great drinks on Menu. The food was great and very unique options not at the typical bars. We only tried the appetizer’s The overall menu was very reasonable in prices as well. The main complaint we had was the smell, was very bad at our table. Seems to be a bad patch job on a toilet drain by our table, almost had to leave for this reason.

Very cool space, delicious food and cocktails, excellent service. We sat at the bar for lunch on Saturday and had excellent service from Connor. Very personable and knowledgeable. Ordered the tuna tostada, Meachum farm salad, and origami cocktail, strawberry festival cocktail. It was absolutely fantastic. The salad and tostada had a perfect balance of flavors and variety of textures. Absolutely delicious. As were our carefully crafted cocktails. We will definitely be back for dinner service as there are a few items we would love to try. Also has a cool event space upstairs and little apothecary of interesting, hard to find items.
Returned again on 11/22 and it was fantastic again. Husband got 2 cocktails and we shared the chicken hearts (tasty- really great chargrilled flavor), salad, and tuna tostada. I could eat that salad and tostada every day. Delicious and great atmosphere. Still trying to get back for dinner sometime!

We sat at the bar and enjoyed a few drinks and a snack. Sophia is a knowledgeable , energetic and cheerful bartender.
She is happy to explain and recommend menu items.
We were looking for a snack to share so we split the Longanisa Dogs and an order of French Fries. Both were very good. All of the menu items have creative and wonderful surprises.
Our drinks and wine were great!

What a great addition to Ybor city. The restaurant is upscale while inviting. The menu Isn’t long but it’s complex and has a wide variety.
I opted for the chicken liver pate. The silky rich pate paired really well with the sweet guava jelly and a Hardy and crunchy thick Cut toast. Note to the chef, I think it could use a little bit of acid. Even so, it was delicious. I will definitely be ordering again.
I also had the char grilled wings. They had a very slight spice with a great charcoal flavor. I would prefer some more spice, but I like spice. I think this is a great medium wing that most anybody would enjoy.
I’m looking forward to coming back and trying the foie gras French toast. Yes. That’s what I said. Foie gras French toast!

This is the best restaurant/bar we have been to in a while! The food could not be better. The chef is incredible. I had the tuna tostada that was better than most Michelin star restaurant dishes I’ve had. Drinks are crafted to perfection. Thank you to Sophia and Sean for making the experience so great for us!! We are now loyal customers!

He made the BEST spicy marg for me, really customizing it to my taste. He told me about the shop upstairs where I found fun things to take home.
