We sat at the Chef’s table. There are four seats at a bar that is open to the kitchen and you can watch them make everything it’s amazing. We had Diver Scallop satay, Avocado Gado Gado, Escargot Rendang and the Lobster Noodles. Amazing Food and Great Service. Highly Recommend.

Simply amazing!

Personable and welcoming staff, a meticulously curated ambiance, and absolutely delicious food… by all measures, this was a world class dining experience.

Every dish stood out in its own way; great ingredients with complex flavors, and perfect technique. Everything was phenomenal, but I would recommend the lamb satay, nasi goreng, and pork ribs the most – as well as the Ube sundae dessert!

We got to enjoy a few Aspen restaurants on our trip, and Wayan is very much a gem. In a town where excellence is advertised on every corner, they really, really hit the mark for what an incredible restaurant should be, without any shortcuts or compromises.

Highly recommend sitting at the chefs counter too, if you want to observe the magic (and the fire) up close!

A heavily decorated restaurant with excellent food and service.
Dishes are pricey and portions are not huge, but the flavors are terrific and the service top-notch.
I enjoyed the steamed black Seabass as well as the mushroom medley (which is their vegan dish) and amazingly satisfying.

Food, service, and ambience were very much on point during our visit. No complaints and only praise. The sashimi, octopus, and Lombok were very delicious and memorable. Lots of gluten free options as well. Can’t wait to return next time we’re in Aspen.

Went there twice during the same trip -that says it all.
The food is outstanding, the atmosphere is beautiful, and the service is truly excellent. Every detail is done perfectly, from the flavors to the vibe.
Highly recommended -simply the best. Can’t wait to come back.

The waitress was very friendly and attentive, which I really appreciated. The atmosphere and décor are nice, and the restaurant has a great vibe overall. The food and the drink were okay, but I was honestly expecting a bit more based on the reviews and the look of the place. Still a decent experience, just not as impressive as I hoped.

Very impressed. They got a lot of the authentic flavors perfectly. We loved the vegetable spring rolls, octopus, beef fried rice, and corn fritter. The chicken satay didn’t really hit for us, and while it didn’t really taste Indonesian, the beef satay was delicious! The chef also made us banana fritters that were so perfectly crispy and sweet they brought me back to my childhood.

Thank you for making our birthday celebration special!

The food was super tasty. The place has such a beautiful and unique décor — nothing like I’ve seen anywhere else. The staff were all so nice and gave great service. I tried all three desserts and they were amazing. Definitely a spot you can’t miss when you’re in Aspen.

We were fortunate to attend a soft opening and sample the whole menu. The restaurant is spacious and stylish, exuding a club atmosphere with dim lighting and more energetic music than other local dining spots. The dishes are meant to be shared (tapas) and are rich in flavor with a spicy kick. The passion fruit dessert is unique! The staff is attentive and lovely. The place is set to be the new go-to spot for après ski, especially in the bar area and by the fireplaces. Though it is priced like most Aspen restaurants, the tapas format makes it a bit pricier. Worth it. We loved the atmosphere and the food. The cocktails and wine offerings are top notch too. Excited to go back.

Here’s your true rating and review. Atmosphere inside was very nice and different, however very stuffy ,it was hot no ventilation! Sit outside or don’t go! Unless they put on the ac. There’s 1 bathroom unless you want to walk a block. Big discomfort. Waitress was an amazing peppy young sweet girl. She was great . Food , appetizers main dishes took a very long time and the courses were sent out scattered. Sea bass was great! Mango salad average , potatoes and the yellow coconut rice poor reheated you can taste the microwave. Had the super small expensive dry aged (probably not aged for very long) steak, average at best if I’m nice ! But save your money on this dish. Chicken satay averaga. Very good was the beef fried rice. Didn’t have dessert The meal took so long we wanted to get out
