Great lunch! Jalapeño’s is always good and our first visit here for a quick lunch was not a disappointment. The new restaurant has a similar feel to the others but with a classy twist. We sat downstairs but the upstairs seating looked to be decorated really well. Food was delicious, fresh and the place had a cool and relaxed vibe. The service was on point as well and our waitress was very attentive.
We will be back to try brunch (on the weekends). One other note, if you are looking for a “traditional”Jalapeños experience, this particular location isn’t it. It is a smaller classier version with a more focused menu and they have definitely embraced the tequila bar concept which should be good for downtown patrons. Highly recommend checking the new place out!

Very authentic Mexican food. Before coming, I was afraid if it would be far from authentic, but I was wrong. It really exceeded my expectations. As a Latina, I can say the food was extremely delicious and it was also a big amount considering the price. The service was very good. 100% recommended, we will definitely be back.

This was my first time at this restaurant and I’m telling you right now you need to run and not walk to this food joint. This was the best Mexican food I’ve had in Tuscaloosa! The chips and salsa come out automatically and they were hot and the salsa was amazing. I ordered a hard shell and soft-shell steak taco and they were phenomenal. The steak was absolutely amazing. It was so well seasoned so whatever you order on the menu make sure it includes the steak! Super friendly staff and awesome service you cannot go wrong with this one.

Best Tequila Bar in the South! Amazing selection of rare and amazing tequilas as well as a unique drink menu unlike any other Mexican or Tex-Mex restaurant. Food is unique and always fresh. The service is always fast and friendly. The downtown atmosphere is fun and festive. Great restaurant!!!

This place was recommended by someone at the UA welcome center and we decided to give it a try. We were very happy with our choice. We arrived right when it opened so we were the only people there. The service was great, the food was amazing and the atmosphere and decor was fun.
We ordered the three tacos (al pastor, tilapia and chicken), the Big Mad Wolf burrito (too much to eat for one meal) and the Fajita Gumbo – their “signature dish”. All were great and we were all happy with the food and the value of the food. The chips and salsa were great too.
This is a fabulous place to eat and they are opening a bar next door next week.

Great food and staff, prices more than reasonable assuming you avoid up charges and drinks.
Not 5 stars because my gumbo was literally just meat and sauce. I found like one piece of tomato. Very tasty, just not as described!

First time here and so glad we came! My son had a chimichanga, husband had explosion quesadillas and I had the street tacos (pictured). We all have food left over to go. I’ll definitely be back! Drinks were good, if you like a stronger margarita I’d suggest ordering it with an extra shot.

Service was awful. Our server was very rude. Asked a few questions and was bothered by our questions. It was shocking. Food and atmosphere were amazing! Short staffed too. Line to pay at cashier was 8-10 pp long. Unfortunately, probably won’t go back.
