I am so glad I stumbled across this place!!! Not one negative thing to say about it. The food was delicious. The staff was amazing. I wish I could’ve stayed for the live music. Kendall was my waitress and she made the experience that much more enjoyable. She was pleasant, knowledgeable of the dishes, and you can tell she really enjoys what she does.

Ordered takeout from Natalie’s – real Lebanese taste! Their Beef Shawarma was really yummy! Their tabbouleh was on point! Very citrusy delish! Their garlic sauce was sooo yummy! Their falafel really good as well, just a bit spicy for my taste ( I don’t eat spicy food at all). Overall I had a great experience.

Until the sauces came out, I was feeling a little sad. The decor was nice but rather bland; likewise the food was pretty to look at, but lacked that characteristic depth of flavor. (The hummus and veggies were delicious though.)
I asked for some sauces to liven things up and that made a significant difference. One sweet and one spicy, the kitchen did a great job on these sides and the Kafka was rescued.
Interesting features included live music and an Art Deco safe that survived from a former bank business that occupied the space generations ago.

My friends and I came here last week, and all I can say is WOW! If you love middle eastern cuisine or any kind of flavorful food, taking a visit to Natalie’s is a MUST. Everything was truly incredible — the falafel, za’atar, hummus, shawarma, halloumi, tabouli, the drinks…all of it! Also, the happy hour deals are SO good. The service and ambiance were also wonderful. I can’t recommend this place enough, and I can’t wait to return when I’m back in Richmond! 1000/10!!!

We were traveling and decided to have Mediterranean food and we xame to this place. The hummus was terrible, and the bread was not fully cocked. I ordered chicken shawrma and they brought me spicy chicken with rice, for God sake its sharwrma and suppused to be chicken lightly merrinated not soacked in spice. I couldn’t eat and they brought me sheesh taok instead that took an hour which we took it to go. We tried eating it later and also, it was spicy.

I was traveling and wanted to try Arabic restaurant. If there is an option for zero, I would have chosen that. The problem is not about the lamp is chewy and not cocked well, but they are putting too much spice to hide the tast. Grilled kabob should have only salt to preserve the tast. Chicken Shawrma is even worst, the dish came too spicy. They should call the restaurant ( Tast of India) instead of Labonan. The hummes texture is only thing right about it. The tast was bad, the sourness is too much and the soda is so apreal in the tast.

Terrible restaurant, I would never recommend. Oh, we paid $120 for that.

5/5 Stars!! Extremely wonderful service and food. I ordered the mixed grilled kebab and my girlfriend ordered the watermelon and cucumber salad with the flat bread w/ cheese. Everything that was edible was utterly delicious and fantastic. This is definitely the best Mediterranean restaurant I’ve eaten at since coming back from the Mediterranean in ’92. Highly recommend this place to everyone looking for something out of the ordinary and craving something different, this gives both in abundance. The service is absolutely outstanding. Our waitress was on point!! She was extremely knowledgeable about the dishes and how they were prepared. Very impressive.

My husband and I recently had the pleasure of working with Natalie’s for our wedding catering, and I can’t recommend them enough! The servers were incredibly nice and considerate, even pausing cleanup during our toasts that ran over. The food was outstanding—everyone raved about the baba ganoush and the other dips! We are vegan and Natalie’s has so many options for us and made sure the food fit what we needed for an all vegan wedding! We also loved being able to take home all our leftovers, which were just as delicious. Randall, the catering manager, was a joy to work with and answered all our questions with a smile. We love coming here on date nights so it was really special to have some of our favorite foods at our wedding. We were so happy to support such a great restaurant and props to them for amazing catering as well!

We went to Natalie‘s and it’s new location and it got quite crowded. We had the mezza for four and we really enjoyed it the babghaosh was very smoky and had a yummy taste and the cheese pies were quite delightful. I stole french fries from my friend that were very tasty and she enjoyed her lamb beef burger. Several of us had the balls they had a little bit of everything if you can’t make a decision. My boyfriend had the beef bowl and he loved the tomatoes that were marinated. We unfortunately did not have room for dessert but will be back.

I really wanted to like Natalie’s because really love what they’re doing to employ disabled people; however, I was let down by the experience.

I spend a significant amount of time in Lebanon, so my review is constructive and hope that they can improve to make these tastes of Lebanon better. The restaurant was completely empty for the entire one and a half hours I was there on a Thursday peak dinner service.

FOOD / PRICES:
– Ordered the Mixed Platter for 2 for $65 – included Shish Tawouk (Chicken), Kofta Kebab, Lamb, and Short Rib. It was ultimately a hit or miss with the tastes here – the chicken was juicy but lacked flavor, the kofta was rubbery, but the short rib was flavorful and tender.
– Meze was the highlight – the hummus and baba gannoush were flavorful and the highlight of the night. The pita was inconsistent as the first batch was undercooked and didn’t puff or brown, but the last batch was exactly what you’d want in pita.
– There was no Manakish on the menu, nor Chankleesh

PRICES:
– $65 for 4 small skewers on the Mixed Platter is extremely pricey even compared to upscale NYC/DC Lebanese restaurants.
– Every single item on the Menu is priced for ultra fine-dining. There are no budget options, even the vegetarian options are at least $26 for crispy cauliflower.
– This is not a fine dining experience, but priced like one. Other restaurants in RVA that are fine dining have far more competitive prices for food because they make up their margin on drinks.

SERVICE:
– We didn’t feel welcomed by any means – we walked in to a completely empty restaurant and thought it was closed. It felt like there was no hospitality the whole time, and we had to ask the waitress a few times for refills.

Overall, their pricing is completely off point and makes the restaurant inaccessible to the people they’re trying to serve. The food itself has a good foundation and I’m confident they’re capable of doing far better. The service lacked warmth.

While the food has potential, it doesn’t fully capture the essence of Lebanese cuisine. I hope they improve so we can have a place in Richmond that we can confidently take our friends to.
