The building appears older but you can never judge on appearance. We weren’t greeted when we entered so had to read the sign which stated pay first which came to make perfect sense. Most of the food trays were near empty, the food was either cold or lukewarm. It was our first (and last!!!!) time here. No one came to remove plates to be honest that wasn’t a huge issue because after tasting the food there was no desire for more. Even the watermelon was out to long and it was dry. DO NOT waste your money here!! A honest fair rating would be Minus 2. I’ve already warned everyone I know to go some where…..any where else!! It was atrocious!!

Chef Chens is a genuine hometown buffet. The place itself is not new or sparkly but you can tell they put care into the food they make. Couple that with the warm staff here and I never leave here disatitfied.The food always tastes good and has a nice variety.

Love the coconut shrimp, fried fish, honey chicken, green beans and mushrooms! It’s a moderately priced buffet (or you can order, but they don’t speak much English), with a good selection and you can get it by the large and small box to take home as well. The owners are very friendly and appreciative of your business.
This place is delicious to eat and it’s the ONLY Chinese food in Silsbee, however some will be put off by the older building, internet tv service and less upkeep of the entrance.

Food is decent depending on what you get, but the service bites. Really rude middle aged woman behind the register. Much better food to be had elsewhere so save your money.

Food was cold, the lady was rude that was working. Her kid was running around without the mother watching him. The seats had food all over them. The flavor of the food was bland. I would not go back.
