We came to fairbanks for work and we stumbled upon outlaw tamales in North Pole, AK. I was surprised to see tamales sold all the way out here. I’m a Mexican from Los Angeles, California so naturally a bit skeptical to how good these tamales might be. Let me tell you these tamales are not only legit but better than some places back home.Golden brick of deliciousness. Definitely made it care and love. They were simply amazing. We bought two dozen mixed so we could try them all. They were amazing. To top it off her green and red salsas were perfect. It was the best way we could end out trip. If we are ever up here again this will be our first stop.

Looking for authentic tamales? This is the place. Take it from a Mexican who grew up making tamales in South Texas. These are the best tamales I’ve had outside of my mom’s house. This lady (owner) puts a lot of heart and authentic flavor. The salsa is also amazing. Her bright and warm spirit makes you feel “en casa” (home).

UPDATE: I drove out special from Fairbanks on Saturday to make sure I tried the tamales. I ordered the Outlaw special with a three tamales differant ones. I liked the shreded beef the best but they all were great.

Best tamales in Alaska is what she said and she was not wrong. The pork tamales and the salsa verde were incredible. A fantastic local business that is worth a stop. Would be here every week if I lived locally. Bring cash.

We checked this place out a while back and I totally spaced about reviewing until today. I called this morning to order 2dz tamales and she was able to put them to the side for me before she sold out. The tamale lady was super sweet and she informed me of the new hours as well. The tamales were absolutely delicious and so worth the price. The salsa verde was great too.

First time ever having tamales, and definitely knocked my socks off! I got both chicken and pork. Both were good but I prefer the chicken and hubby prefers the pork. I also can’t get enough of the green homemade salsa. Yum yum!
