A great little family-owned restaurant with delicious food! We had mixed and pork/cheese pupusas as well as chicken and pork tamales. The pupusas were made to order and everything was really tasty. The service was phenomenal—very attentive. Would recommend, would go back, all of it!

This was quite the wholesome experience. We called ahead to make sure Alicia’s was open (New Years Day) and they excitedly let us know they were. Once we pulled in they greeted us and treated us with such kindness and generosity that I was moved, after sitting 5+ hrs in the car.
The food was delicious and handmade in front of us, I will remember Alicia’s with fondness.

We were driving thru and I had found a recommendation on Reddit for this place. It is a HIDDEN GEM! It is a cute yellow place next to what I believe is her house, just a block or two off the “main drag.” We pulled up and it was everything we hoped for. Small, local business, with the best vibe, food and owner possible. I have nothing but amazing things to say about this place. I have worked at a five course tasting menu, James beard finalist place for many years. This is AMAZING! There is a four top table and six top table with a great bathroom in there too. Homey vibe. Wonderful owner and THE BEST FOOD! I’m a pescatarian. The spinach and cheese was surprisingly my favorite compared to bean and cheese but both were amazing. My fiancé got chicken and cheese and pork and cheese. Love all! cabbage was so good! As was the hot sauce.

We stopped here as we were passing through North Platte on a long road trip. We are so glad we wandered off the highway to find this place. Amazing, authentic pupusas!! The food was incredible. Our pupusas were made to order, so fresh! We tried a number of different fillings, all were great but we especially enjoyed the pork, beans and cheese as well as the loroco. The curtido and different salsas were delicious as well. The owner/chef was absolutely lovely, offering to hold my cranky infant while we ate our dinner. She rocked my baby to sleep while I was able to enjoy fresh, hot pupusas. She was so personable, even went out of her way to strike up a conversation with my shy, Spanish speaking toddler. We felt so welcomed, as if we were family eating in her home.
It’s a tiny restaurant, not many tables, so be prepared if you’re stopping with a large group. Definitely don’t give it a second thought – eat here! You won’t regret it!

This place is run by a lovely local couple that have lived here for 30 years. She is from El Salvador and her husband is from Ecuador originally. The pupusa were extremely flavorful and the salsa had a lot of really nice nuance to them. All around this was our favorite experience ever eating in North Platte. We will be returning to Alicia’s every time! Try the loroco!

OMG! This is the best place for some pupusas! We gotta chicken & cheese, pork & cheese and also been and cheese! Must try! Homemade and made hot and fresh! Alicia is the fabulous cook and also she was super sweet! She makes a dish on the side like a meal of the day/week. This time she had stewed beef, rice and mashed potatoes. All home made and that was delicious! Must try! Must try! You won’t leave disappointed!
