This place is pretty meh. Food was funky. The bartender was really friendly but he and a waitress were busy somewhere else so everyone at the bar waited a while for meh food.

My family and I go here all the time. BEST fish fry I have ever had. And it is ALL YOU CAN EAT. Food is great. Service is even better. Tara the bartender is the BEST and Rick, the host, is sooo nice. They are always so accommodating and treat us all so great. It’s obvious they appreciate our business. They will even buy you a drink from time to time. Great place.

We had dinner here one night and the food was good. The fish fry wasn’t expensive and the adult grilled cheese was yummy. The pop wasn’t watered down so it was good as well. We did the buffet the next morning and there was a lot of variety. They even had a chef there making omelets. Otherwise there was the usual cereal, waffle bar, pastries, yogurt bar, etc.

Unprofessional, terrible service, the food was fantastic so I asked my waitress who was the chef that evening and I believe she said it was Christopher. Thats the only good thing. Otherwise my water glass was dirty, my silver ware had finger prints all over it, & there were at least 5 tables that were dirty when I came in. I sat myself in the restaurant and waited at least 7 minutes before someone spoke to me and offered me a menu. I wouldn’t reccomend this place to anyone. The hotelroom had numerous issues, the hot tub was out of service, and the pool area was just dirty pizza boxes cups trash… Just a very unpleasant experience.

My father visits this hotel every Christmas (slightly reluctantly) from down south, to spend time with myself and his grandchildren.
The night he got into town, they were out of his favorite beer!
(This is serious/not very….but kind of)
We ended up trying their replacement suggestion and continued to enjoy our night and even though he accepted that, he may find another hotel for his last night in town the next evening. (no hard feelings)
Low and behold the next day they stop us at the lobby and inform us that the cooler is completely stocked of his favorite! They remembered who he was by face and it really made my day! (I want him completely happy while in Racine)
Also made him happy and comfortable to just stay close to were us locals live (5 mins away) and we appreciated it more than we should have!
Food was great, service was great each day with each server and we will continue to come back ♡

Their food is good, service is strong. My only complaint, their kitchen closes early! Then they don’t let you order delivery from local pizza places and such. Either serve food or allow us to order from someone who does!

” Banner Outside States” NEW Menu, NEW Hours And NEW Management. I am looking forward to dining here to see the changes. I really like the Dining Room space BUT, I DO NOT LIKE that they got rid of all the foliage outside the windows in the Dining area. NOW IT MAKES the restaurant LESS secluded , private and romantic.

Why doesnt this place have any signs? I’ve lived in this area for eight years now and just found out about Oakes a month ago… Anyway checked them out for dinner on Friday and had the fish and it was excellent! The rest of the family ordered a range of food and it was all good to great. Will repeat!

Horrible service. Throughout the meal we were brought the wrong food and drink, such as receiving shrimp tacos instead of pork tacos and Pepsi instead of a cocktail. When pointed out to the server we received a curt response of “I didn’t hear you.” Will not be returning.
