Tammy Worthy-Jones has been baking for decades and dreamed of one day owning her very own bakery. Relocating with her family from the big city of New York to the small town in Harrisburg was quite a change, but Tammy soon started introducing her “Southern-Grandma-styled” baked goods to her new Harrisburg friends, neighbors, and local business owners. Tammy opened the doors of her very own bakery inside the Midtown Scholar bookstore in Midtown Harrisburg PA November 2019. When opening the door to Just Baked Cakes and Pies, you are met with a cheerful greeting, a big smile great customer service and well-lit case filled with a delectable array of cobblers, cakes, pies, cheesecakes, cookies, and cupcakes.

The presentation makes you smile, from the elegant swirls of chocolate and vanilla frosting to the playful New York Giants cupcakes that were a hit at our gathering. The flavors matched the beauty—rich, moist cake with smooth, creamy frosting that wasn’t overly sweet. The chocolate was decadently bold, the vanilla light and balanced, and the toasted swirl cupcakes added a fun twist.
The staff are professional, welcoming, and truly understand the assignment when it comes to creating treats that are as beautiful as they are delicious.

Ordered My Son’s First Birthday Cake from here. One word AMAZIMG. I got to know about this bakery from Internet. 1st thing you notice is 79 reviews and all Five stars, and yes the bakery was as good as reviews if not even more. Met few customers there, and they all were praising the pies. One lade even travelled 1 hr for a pie. The owner was too kind to take in our order even at the last minute and made an amazingly delicious Pumpkin cake, that exceeded our expectations. She is a passionate baker, who was generous enough to accommodate all our requests and delivered the cake on time. From the first bite itself, it brought me back to childhood memories of eating Mama’s freshly baked cakes. I will be definitely going back for my every occasion. About the cake, we wanted it to be with minimal fondant, and she did an amazing job with the butter cream to replicate a pumpkin. My Son was on his ninth cloud, the moment he saw that.

If you ever have the opportunity to stop in or need a dessert for an event, do yourself a favor and GO FOR IT. I had called everywhere to find a special kind of cheesecake for a friend’s bridal party with no luck. I found Just Baked and I could not be happier. She walked me through ordering the PERFECT little white chocolate/Wild Berry personal cheesecakes and they were TOO DIE FOR. HOLY COW. They were beautiful and ready for me when I got there. I will be back as often as possible!

Ordered a specialty cake for my Mom’s 65th surprise!!! The cake was an absolute hit and was FIYA!!!! The owner, also the baker of all this deliciousness, is a pleasure to work with and very honest about what she can provide for your needs. She is reasonably priced and is ON-TIME.
