Love, love, loved this restaurant! The food is hot and delicious, the service is warm and excellent and the place just feels cozy and welcoming. We were served by Jack and Bagas who were fantastic. They anticipated our needs, were very quick and efficient, polite, friendly and knowledgeable. Three of us shared a beef stone bowl and a seafood pancake which was more than enough food (we took some home). They also have an extensive wine menu and a short dessert menu. Highly recommend!!

In the town of Brevard, located on the corner of a retail strip, you will find a great example of Korean food. I was surprised to come across this establishment and sampled a couple of its offerings during a recent visit to the area. The menu offers many options, some of which may be familiar but more than a few, less so. I went with the tteok-bokki (one of several spellings) for the appetizer. This Korean street favorite was excellent. The accompanying sauce was flavorful with a hint of heat and the texture one would expect from the rice preparation. I enjoyed it, while my wife – not as much. It is a texture thing. However, she did enjoy the hot pot she ordered – filled with flavor and vegetables in a comforting broth. I ordered the dish which is the namesake of the restaurant – stone bowl. This being my first stone bowl dish, I was not quite sure what to expect. Not to worry. A generous helping of vegetables and your chosen protein (pork for me this time) wonderfully presented in a very hot black, stone bowl – still sizzling when placed on the table. The server will warn the patron about the heat as well as provide instructions on how to best enjoy the dish. Coming with the orders were small dishes containing kim chi, picked cucumber, teriyaki potato, and pickled radish (I think ). These accompany the main dishes. You will find the dishes tasty with some heat but nothing along the order of Thai food. Very distinctive of Korean food is the variety of vegetables both fresh and pickled, I have found. Good service with prices a bit on the upper side, in my opinion, but an excellent meal. They have a small bar, and the establishment is well – maintained. A good experience worth the visit.

One of the best meals out we’ve had in a long time. The stone bowls we ordered were delicious and the rice cake appetizer was such a tasty surprise as we weren’t sure what to expect. All of the pickled sides were so good as well. The service was truly fantastic and they took great care with my GF needs. We will definitely be back!

This place is a hidden gem for really great Korean food… Located in a strip mall just outside of downtown Brevard my wife and I had a delightful dinner on their patio. My wife had a Kimchi Ramen Bowl which said was amazing. I had the Beef Bulgogi which was also top notch. The portions are large. The service is friendly and attentive. Our food came out quickly… 5 Stars!

What a pleasant surprise to discover an authentic Korean stone bowl restaurant while passing through the area. The service was attentive, and the food was quite satisfying. The seafood pancake was generously loaded with fresh seafood and came with an excellent dipping sauce. The squid stone bowl delivered great flavor and texture. The bean paste stew (Doenjang jjigae) had good flavor, though it was thinner than traditional preparations—closer to a guk (soup) with a lighter, more diluted consistency. A longer simmer time and additional bean paste would give it the rich, hearty thickness that makes this dish so comforting. Despite this minor note, it’s a wonderful spot to enjoy Korean cuisine.

Amazing experience. The staff accommodates my gluten free needs with ease. The food was delicious – a flavor extravaganza – I had the Chicken Bowl and it came with an array of sides, some sweet and some savory. Kimchi added nice punch and flavor. Highly recommend stopping in this great place!

So, I tried the Stone Bowl House Korean restaurant in Brevard, NC last night, and let me tell you, it was a foodies dream! The food was so fresh and delicious. The chicken stone bowl was a real standout – it was so unique and flavorful. I was a bit worried about the egg on top, but it turned out to be perfectly cooked after I stirred it into the hot stonebowl. My partner had the Udon Noodles, and they were absolutely amazing! They also bring you four small tasting plates to try with your meal. I will be back SOON.

My wife and I stopped by Stonebowl House in Brevard for a late lunch and really enjoyed it. We started with the Kimchi PaJun, which was flavorful and nicely cooked. For mains, we had the Pork Belly stonebowl and the Squid stonebowl. Both arrived piping hot and the portion sizes were very generous—you’ll likely have leftovers to take home.

They also serve four small banchan plates with kimchi and other fermented vegetables, which was a nice touch and added to the overall experience. Service was excellent: friendly, attentive, and efficient. Prices were very reasonable for the amount and quality of food you get.

I lived in South Korea for a year, so I’m fairly familiar with Korean food. While the flavors here weren’t quite as authentic as what you’d find there, this was a very close second and still very satisfying. My only small criticism is that I personally would’ve liked a bit more heat—the kimchi and stonebowls could have been spicier. That said, we’d definitely come back.
