I stopped here while passing through Little Rock on my way back to Chicago. Aunt Afaf welcomed me with incredible kindness—she refused to take money from me, even offered drinks and baklava, saying she never charges travelers. The food was delicious, the place was very clean, and her hospitality is unforgettable. I’ll always remember her and keep her in my prayers

I just had one of the best meals of my life at this Middle Eastern spot downtown. Walked in not knowing what to expect, and the smell hit me first — like warm spices and fresh bread. I went for the gyro plate and honestly, I could have eaten three of them. The hummus was creamy and flavorful, the falafel was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, and that yogurt sauce… oh man, it tied everything together perfectly.

The staff were so friendly, checking in without being pushy, making you feel welcome. Everything just felt fresh and homemade — not like some pre-packaged stuff. I left full, happy, and already planning my next visit. If you like real, flavorful Middle Eastern food, this place is a must.

The sweet woman working (I believe she runs the place) made the experience! First off, she gave a free piece of falafel to try while I waited and it was genuinely the best I’ve ever had— very authentic and perfectly spiced. Then while making my food, she insisted on getting me a bowl of an Egyptian noodle dish I had never had before, free of charge. You could tell she loves the food she makes and that she’s a genuinely a kind person who’s excited to share her culture with others. 5 STARS!

Middle Eastern Cuisine in Little Rock is a Must-Try!

Middle Eastern Cuisine is hands-down one of the best restaurants I’ve visited in Little Rock. The food is authentic, fresh, and full of rich, vibrant flavors that really transport you. It’s the kind of place that makes you want to come back the moment you finish your meal.

I had the lamb gyro plate with rice and hummus — absolutely incredible. The lamb was tender and perfectly seasoned, and the hummus was smooth and packed with flavor. My friend tried the vegetarian sampler, and every bite — from the falafel to the baba ganoush — was spot-on.

The staff is friendly, helpful, and clearly passionate about what they do. They’re happy to answer questions or suggest dishes if you’re new to Middle Eastern food. The atmosphere is clean, casual, and welcoming — perfect for lunch or a relaxed dinner.

If you’re in Little Rock and looking for something beyond the usual, do yourself a favor and check out Middle Eastern Cuisine. You won’t be disappointed!

The couple who serve here have good hospitality skills. For a visitor like me, I was treated with a smile and a free falafel and baklava, to taste. I got the spicy gyro curry with eggplant and tabouli with pita bread. For $10 it’s a filling lunch.
