I must’ve walked by Henry’s Deli a dozen times and never noticed it. Tucked away on Olden Ave, this little Polish spot is run by a warm, no-nonsense crew of ladies who were deep in their morning rhythm when I wandered in, curious about breakfast options.
I ordered an egg and something-I-can’t-pronounce sandwich—which turned out to be pretty great. We chatted a bit, and I got a sense of the place. It’s clearly got its regulars and its rhythm, and I was glad to be the outsider for once, stepping into someone else’s comfort zone.
Just a heads-up: they usually take cards for orders $10 and up. If you’re nearby, it’s worth a stop. I might just go back.

Food is fantastic. Me my wife and kids eat it every week! Best kielbasa and pierogis you can find without being in Poland.
If you decide to read reviews to choose a place just know that this store has been under new ownership for 2 years. So any reviews about employees not being clean or low quality service is irrelevant with the new staff.

Good selection of cold and hot sandwiches along with secwral choices of complete meals (such as veal tongue, stuffed cabbage, ground pork cutlet, breaded pork chop, or “Hunter’s Stew”) that come with a choice of salad (of course, you got to try their sauerkaut) and potatoes.
The prices are quite budget-friendly.
One important thing to bear in mind, unless you speak Polish, do not rely on GrubHub or even a phone call. Due to certain language barriers you are not guaranteed to get the right thing. Come in person and enjoy their pierogies and kielbasa.

Often imitated but never duplicated .Hands down the best quality authentic Polish food and products. Reasonably priced Many items cooked fresh daily. The best fried fish served on Friday.Very busy especially on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Worth stopping by.

Very poor customer service. I had a very unpleasant experience in this place. After I asked employee to wear two gloves while cutting the cold cuts, the manager started yelling at me!!! Rather than correct emoloyee’s action. No mask, no gloves, the employee who cuts the cold cuts with no gloves(or only one!) Then touch the cash register and money, then return to work still with no gloves or washing the hands. Therefore, the next day when I came to talk with the owner, employees did want to call the owner from the office when I asked to speak with her.
I hope that the owner read the reviews. Please train your employees how to interact with clients, especially your manager. She should give a good example to your employees, not yell at clients. Very poor personal behavior of a manager, lack of competency , lack of professionalism.

Polish deli with great food! Don’t worry if you don’t speak Polish as there is always someone who speaks English as well. There are ready-made breakfast sandwiches but I suggest asking for a bacon, egg and cheese on a roll, eggs done light. It’s worth the wait and your mouth will thank you! Lunch has pierogie, breaded fish, keilbasa and other rotating options. There’s lots of strange and interesting Polish and European candy and drinks to capture your interest while waiting for your food to be prepared. When you leave be sure to say “Jen coo etchi” which is phonetic for “thank you” in Polish.

Decent Neighborhood Store,
Mostly for Polish packed goods and some fresh foods.
Annoying 3% additional charge for paying with a credit card.

DO NOT BUY THERE! THE POLISH LADY that works there NEVER USES GLOVES TO SLICE MEAT OR BREAD… DURING THE PANDEMIC THEY DONT WEAR MASKS AND DONT ADHERE TO ANY CDC STANDARDS OR BASIC SANITATION REQUIREMENTS. The polish lady that works there is also very rude, condescending and just nasty to customers.
