My favorite local neighborhood Pakistani resturant located in Cooper City. They have Indian, Pakistani, and Chinese menu. My go to is the Indian menu. I’ve been going here for years and I can say Elli Desi Kitchen delivers consistency. Clean atmosphere, friendly staff and inviting decor. My favorite is the tika masala spicy, garlic naan and bbq 2 legs. , butter chicken. My most recent visit was greeted by Sima who was very helpful and took the time to explain traditional desserts, was so pleasant and delightful although minutes from closing her customer service was excellent!

We visited Ellie’s Desi Kitchen around 10 PM, and they kindly opened the kitchen just to make us fresh naan straight from the oven! The food was absolutely delicious, and they confirmed it’s all halal. Big thanks to the team for their hospitality.
They’re also just a few minutes away from Masjid Nur Ul Islam, so if you’re nearby and craving good food, definitely give them a try!

Absolutely amazing experience! The food was incredibly delicious—full of flavor, perfectly prepared, and truly satisfying.
The ambiance was welcoming, comfortable, and beautifully set, making the whole experience even more enjoyable.
A very special mention to Saima, who went above and beyond in every possible way. She was attentive, kind, and genuinely made us feel taken care of. Her exceptional service truly elevated our experience and made the visit memorable.
Highly recommend and can’t wait to come back!

I booked this restaurant for my son’s first birthday and that was a huge mistake. We went there early in the morning to decorate the restaurant and their AC was not working. They said someone is coming to fix the AC. Later when we went there for the party, water was dripping from their ceiling. Not only our stage was ruined, some of the tables were also wet. They placed a bucket and towels around the restaurant. I felt ashamed in front of my guests. Also we were not able to take good pictures for my son’s FIRST BIRTHDAY. our party was ruined. The water was dirty and smelled bad. I also heard they were shut down by the health department in the past. btw they offered me $2 discount per person for this!! When I asked for the manager they said he is not picking up and not reachable! I am going to report them to BBB and health department. STAY AWAY FROM THIS SHITTY PLACE!

Not impressed with Ellie’s Desi Kitchen lately . Prices keep going up but portions are getting smaller. The quality’s dropped too my last order was bland and underseasoned. The chicken was a joke barely enough to see, just a few bits fried and thrown into the sandwich. Used to love their generous portions and flavorful food, but not anymore. Definitely won’t be back unless things change.

I recently visited Ellis Deshi Kitchen. While the food quality was good and the flavors were well done, the overall experience was disappointing due to poor service. The staff were inattentive, and communication was lacking throughout our visit. What was most frustrating is that an 18% service charge was added to the bill without any prior notice or explanation, which felt misleading and unprofessional. Service charges should always be clearly communicated in advance so customers can make an informed decision. Good food alone does not justify hidden charges. I’m sharing this so others are aware and can decide accordingly before dining here.

A few days ago, I ordered chicken biryani for pickup along with a few other items. The woman on the phone told me it would be ready in 20 minutes, so I arrived right on time. I had driven 10 miles, only to be handed stale, days-old biryani that smelled spoiled, as if it had been sitting out for days and then reheated in a microwave. I asked the woman directly, “Is the biryani supposed to smell like this? It smells off.” She insisted, “Yes, our kitchen just made it fresh.” I trusted her and brought it home. That same night, after eating a small serving, my father got sick. Unfortunately, this isn’t the first time, it’s happened twice before with different dishes.
I’ve been coming to Ellie’s Desi Kitchen for years, ever since they first opened. Their prices used to be reasonable, and their food used to be fresh and delicious. Dine-in meals are still okay, but when it comes to pickup or online orders, the quality has gone downhill. It feels like they’re cutting corners and handing out leftovers instead of preparing fresh food.
The restaurant also seems severely understaffed. One waitress is often left to handle a packed dining room on her own. And the cleanliness leaves a lot to be desired. Beyond the occasional mop of the floor, the place doesn’t look like it gets much attention. Cobwebs hang from the ceiling, dust collects in corners, and the overall presentation feels old and neglected. The atmosphere is dull and outdated.
I’m writing this review because I’m genuinely disappointed. The food, presentation, and service no longer reflect the standards they once had. As someone who values Indian and Pakistani cuisine, I feel ashamed at the poor representation here. I have invited many guests from out-of-state and out-of-country to dine with me, and they would agree that Ellie’s is not deserving of the praise and hype so many give it. If Ellie’s wants to keep its loyal customers, they need to stop serving stale food, clean up the restaurant, and bring back the quality that made them worth visiting in the first place.

First of all – we have been there a few times for their amazing masala chai which is made fresh to order — SOOOOO GOOD!!! The sweet woman (Saimi) who greeted us that last few times already knew what we wanted haha. Also Minchi was also very kind and friendly every time we came. Then we decided to order a goat biryani for a gathering at our house — 15 people. At first we were worried it was too much food — but EVERYONE including the little ones went back for seconds and thirds! It was no doubt the best goat biryani we have had here and that is saying a lot! Check it out if you have not – you won’t be disappointed!

I recently dined at Ellie’s on a Saturday and was disappointed with the experience. We were told they wouldn’t be serving their Indo-Chinese menu due to a party, which was unexpected for a weekend. The ordering process was also confusing, as the waitress had to repeatedly check with the kitchen about what was available.
When we ordered the nihari, it was mostly oil and bones with very little meat. We hadn’t touched it and asked for it to be removed from the bill, but the waitress argued and suggested we remove the oil ourselves. Only after asking for management was it taken off.
We’ve visited a few times, and unfortunately the staff have consistently come across as unprofessional and rude.

Going there for years when restaurant namesake used to run the store herself, restaurant have gone thru at least half a dozen ownerships since then, Famous Spicy Chicken sandwich is the best if you eat there , Aman style sandwiches are my 2nd fav. Rest of the items are hit or miss , recently they got a new chef who definitely know how to make NAAN ( Fresh Baker Flat Bread )
