The restaurant has only been opened since February of 2024, & it looks 80 years old. There was no atmosphere to speak of nor any kind of welcoming feeling upon our arrival. We wanted to experience a different “New York style” pizza place, & as a New Yorker, I can say this place missed the mark terribly! There was no red sauce to speak of on our pizza. There was no Italian sausage on the menu, & the meat substitute tasted/smelled tainted. The pizza dough was flavorless, & the pizza was served cold with no oregano, cheese or red pepper on the table. The garlic buns were served cold, they were difficult to separate & they were very dry. We asked if they could pour a little more sauce/olive oil over them, & they came back to our tabie with small pats of butter on the tops which did nothing for the interior or bottoms if the buns. The paper plates we were provided for the buns were practically see through & very small & flimsy. We each ordered two beers & were unaware they were $6 each, as the prices weren’t listed on the menu. We weren’t offered cold mugs for our beers & the bottles weren’t cold. In the hour+ we were there, we were the only patrons that dined in with only a handful of others coming in to pick up their to go orders. None of them seemed to have a rapore with the front service counter, nor did they seem excited to take their food with them. There was no ambiance or welcoming feeling in the restaurant. The man I believe must have been a manager or owner sat in a back dining room with another man that appeared to be a family member or business acquaintance & they both seemed deep in conversation with skowels on their faces, while whispering amongst themselves & it was uncomfortable for me when I interrupted them as I was innocently looking for the restroom. The best part was our evening was our server, who was young, polite, professional & attentive. For a Friday evening, the place should have been busier, except it was dead perhaps because of the weird & sad vibes in the restaurant. Our basic dinner was $60 for the two of us, and the experience was so lackluster we won’t be returning anytime soon!

Consistently great pizza! Always hot and fresh and their time estimates for pick up are spot on. Their mozzaluna which is like mozzarella sticks is always awesome, with good marinara on the side. Their customer service though is absolutely lovely. Feels like a real local spot. So glad we found it. Highly recommend it.

Family owned and they all showed exceptional customer service. They treated me like family before I even placed an order. Durim explained all of their specials and showed me what size pizza I would be getting before I even ordered.

Exceptionally good food! We particularly love the lunch specials which are such a great deal. The dough has such a nice texture in the rolls, calzones and pizza. All the dishes are excellent. Highly recommend!

Husband had a meatball Sub. Kept asking me if the meatballs were real meat. Said it was the worst meatball sub he’s ever had. I had the chicken gyro plate. Im pretty sure most of the food was frozen and not fresh other than the salads. We will definitely not be back. It most definitely does not live up to the old Milanos!

Milano’s is easily one of the best Italian restaurants I’ve ever visited! From the moment you walk in, the warm atmosphere and incredible aromas let you know you’re in for something special. Every dish we tried tasted authentic, fresh, and perfectly seasoned — you can tell the chef pours real passion into the food.
A major shout-out to JJ and Spencer, who made the entire experience even better. They were friendly, attentive, and made us feel genuinely welcome. Their menu recommendations were spot-on, and their service was fast without ever making us feel rushed.
If you’re looking for amazing pasta and top-tier hospitality, Milano’s is the place to go. We’ll definitely be coming back! ✨

A special shout-out goes to Spencer and JJ, our servers, who truly made the evening exceptional. They were friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu, offering great recommendations without ever feeling pushy. Their timing was perfect, and they made sure we had everything we needed throughout the meal.
The food was absolutely fantastic—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. Every dish tasted like it came straight from an Italian kitchen. From the appetizers to the main courses, everything exceeded expectations. You can tell the chefs take real pride in their work.
Overall, Milano’s delivered a wonderful combination of great service, amazing food, and a cozy atmosphere. I highly recommend it, and I’ll definitely be returning soon!

Was excellent pizza and I might return. Super great crust and tasty, flavorful sauce. My only compliant is they charged me for extra sauce on the pizza (most everywhere in FL is too light for me). I’ve never encountered extra sauce being charged as a topping so that is annoying. Anyhow, great pizza but a $25.54 is a bit steep for a Med 1-top.

Pizza was great! The crust is thin, cheese and pepperoni are awesome, and so is the sauce! The girl in the front was really nice, and even brought my pizza out to the front when I stepped to my car!

As a native New Yorker and Tallahassee transplant of 5 years, I felt obligated to come on here and leave this gem of a pizzeria the best review I could.
I have had pizza from many, many pizzerias in town here.. basically any pizzeria you can name local to Tallahassee, and this pizza is BY FAR the BEST NY style Pizza I’ve had since moving from NY to FL.
I was lucky enough to grow up eating the best of the best pizza back home in NYC, so when I left 5 years ago and moved here, it only added to the homesickness just how… not as good as NY the pizza here in town is, to put it gently.
Fast-forward 5 years of searching for a really good slice here in Tallahassee, and I stumbled upon Milano Pizza. I could go on for days of how authentic this pizza tastes to a good NY slice. The sauce, the crust, the cheese, everything about this slice reminds me of home, so much that I’ve eaten it 3 times since discovering it just last week.
I have very high standards for pizza—by no fault of my own and solely because I grew up with the best of it—and while I don’t want to name names, the… *other* pizzerias in town don’t hold a candle to Milano Pizza. Thank you, Milano Pizza, for the slice that feels like home.
