It’s a great place. We normally eat at the other Biergarten (we’ve been going for too many years) the food here is hit and miss
A German friend recommended this place so we decided to try this new place
We had
garlic fries 5/5
Thin crispy fries topped with tons of fresh sautéed garlic. Tons
Jägerschnitzel 4.5/5
Veal Schnitzel topped with mushroom cream sauce
Spätzle creamy cheesy. Which accompanied the schnitzel. 4/5. Wonderful homemade but I think it’s should’ve been crispy fried instead if drenched in cream. Too much cream on the plate. Not balanced. But homemade. Yummm
Beef Rouladen 3.5/5
Beef should be a bit softer, sauce was ok it had all the right ingredients but a bit disappointing due to beef being too dry
Red cabbage standard 4/5
Amazing Potato dumplings 5/5
They carried Paulaner Radler5/5 which I really liked
Schwarzwälder Kirsch tort. Do not order We came specifically because our friend says it was authentic and delicious. I was skeptical when I saw it in the case but we took it home. Most horrible 1/5. Not anything like real stuff. Some bastardized version yuck.
Second time
We ordered “German” Doner Kebab very mixed feelings about this
First of all it was split pita bread bottom layer with yogurt dill sauce then layered with lamb/beef shavings. The meat was excellent–good quality very authentic balanced flavors. But then it topped burger style with leaf lettuce sliced tomato and American pickles (a small amount of picked red cabbage). No no no. This definitely is not German but “American” style. In Germany the wrap is better bread and then the delicious meat but the toppings are completely different: there’s dressed salad/tomato mixed and of course the pickled red cabbage and pickled onions. But the star is also their garlic white sauce (and other sauces)
Generous amounts of vegetables and dressing and meats, everything blends in harmoniously. I’m not a big fan of pickled things but these are more “Dressed” than really sour pickled. Definitely no cucumber pickle! Despite its short comings I think it’s 3.75 due to meat quality
We had the veal schnitzel 4.5/5 delicious with mushroom sauce in the side. The Spätzle was great creamy cheesy. Still prob would have preferred plain crispy buttered Spätzle would have been better 4.5/5

We’ve been here a couple of times, most recently for dinner. Service is consistently great. Obviously, they have a wonderful selection beers, everything is served in these cool glasses and is ice cold! The food is excellent. We loved the chicken schnitzel, the spaetzel, and the cauliflower fritter appetizer is so delicious! Just one note: the black forest cake is very dense, so if you’re into fluffy, light cake, it’s not for you. Everything was generally lovely, and I would absolutely come back here.

Loved siting out on the terrace enjoying a good beer and a pretzel. Having a festival happening at courthouse square made the experience all the more exciting. Can’t beat the location/set up.
The food was good. Would recommend the pretzel with cheese dip and the curry sausage. Looking forward to coming back and ordering something different. My one complaint is that the plates are large and the table small – I felt like we were going to hit something off the table the whole time. I feel like they could have given us the same amount of food on smaller plates.
We were sat down at a table by a hostess and then ordered our food through an app. It was nice because we could get up and leave whenever we wanted but it was kind of a disappointment on service because we then never spoke to a waiter. Our food/drinks randomly came to us from someone without any chitchat.

What a great time! I came here by myself just wanting to try it out and have a beer then I ordered pretzel then I ordered a hamburger next thing I know I have three new friends and we’re having a great time! Love the patio!
Honestly, the fries were better than McDonald’s and the hamburger was perfect. If you didn’t know any better, you’d swear you were in Germany.!
Probst!!!

I wanted this to be 5 stars so bad! But alas, they did not deliver. The night before my GF and I saw a movie across the walkway and on our way out we noticed this German restaurant/bar. Immediately we were intrigued. Coming originally from Europe I was super excited to try it and compare it to what I know these dishes are supposed to taste like. The next day we came for lunch. We were nicely greeted and immediately seated as it wasn’t very busy, it was about 30% full. FIRST disappointment was online ordering. Ok, went through this last few years so we know how to work it but we would like to go back to good old days. Each of us ordered a pretzel for starters, my GF ordered Dönner Kebab for main dish, I ordered Wiener Schnitzel for the main dish and we both got a half liter Radler. Radler came out very quickly which was a plus but nothing out of ordinary considering it was not busy. SECOND disappointment was that we waited a long while to get the food and both starter and main dish came at the same time. I’m not sure why is this so hard get it right. THIRD disappointment was the Dönner Kebab. It seems that no one bothers to look up what its supposed to look and taste. Suggestion to the restaurant: please do some homework on this one. Fries was warm and was not salted. If done well you could sell millions. Radler was delicious. My Wiener Schnitzel was thin and small but it was tasty, speatzle that came with was bland but I fixed it by adding some pepper, mushrooms sauce that came in the side was very tasty as well as the side of jam. Thicken and slightly increase the size of the schnitzel and it’s going to be awesome. Both of our pretzels were tasty but could have been warmer. Again, I think they cooled down because they came out when the rest of the food came. The atmosphere was good but we did noticed that sometimes the area attracts very rowdy youth, especially in the evening due to the movie theater near by. We will come by to try other dishes and drinks. I hope things improve.

Oh my goodness, I have not had Jager schnitzel since I was in Germany in 1984. It was heaven! I would highly recommend this restaurant, the food was fantastic. The only thought I have is only a personal preference. The schnitzel was served with a light, White, macaroni and cheese on the side. It was good, but I would much prefer a warm German potato salad.
Initially, I was going to get the Reuben, but it is served on dark rye, and I prefer light, but I’m happy I got the schnitzel.
They also offer vegetarian options in the burger/sandwich category, and eggplant schnitzel.
I got a huge beer and it stayed cold till the end because of the thick glass.
Kudos
