Good food. Got the oxtail lunch with plantains, yams, and cabbage. The rice wasn’t very well cooked, but the oxtail and sides were good. They were out of goat curry and beef pies. Reasonable priced, but probably should have gone with the specials. Not really in a good neighborhood.

I’m from Jamaica and the food did bring me back to feeling like I’m home. The plates were excellent. We ordered oxtail n jerked chicken. I definitely recommend this place. O n not to mention the place was clean n comfy. Very welcoming. The lady at the front was so so very very nice.

If you’ve never had better or don’t know how real Island food should taste then this spot will probably suffice. For being in a predominantly country atmosphere, it is a good place for people in Louisiana who have never been exposed to the dishes. So, basically what you’re getting is Jamaican centered dishes made southern style.
Portions: You have to get double cabbage or double rice and peas to make it worth your while.
taste: I gave it 2 stars because it doesn’t taste bad, just more southern style soul food than Jamaican, didn’t have an Island spice to it whatsoever.

The portion size was very small but food was favorable. I choose a special and was going to share it with someone. I asked for an extra fork and the clerk stated that you get only 1 fork was given per place and 1 napkin. I needed to purchase another fork. I am very big on customer service. So when she stated that I was taken back. Also there are no restroom available for use at the establishment she gave several excuses about the restroom being broken when they first open the building. Over all the clerk was not welcoming but the food was tasty. I will try another Jamaican cuisine in the area.

I had the tacos a few times really good but a lil pricey. But the knock I is now they give you one small sauce for two tacos. Not good !!!! One per we’ll support your business but don’t short change us. Something simple as that can drive customers away and another business closes because of owner greed. Get it right and flourish.

My first time eating jerked chicken and it was absolutely delicious. The chicken, cabbage and Mac and cheese all cooked to perfection. Ms. Stephanie was the perfect hostess. I will definitely return real soon

Just had the taco on Waitr. Talk about delicious. These babies are huge! I thought I needed two and ended up giving one away. The sauce is perfect with the tacos. Will be going back to explore more of the options!
