This is definitely the best food on the overpass! We are extremely happy to see this little Cafe in the bootheal! We caught them early on a Friday afternoon. I love what they’ve done with the place! It was very pleasant and inviting, not to mention clean. The staff was nice too. Our server was Kira, very polite. We ordered the BLT and a chicken Philly with potatoes and some mozzarella sticks. Amazing! All stars! Definitely coming back! Keep up the awesome work!

We’re from North Alabama, this café. The waitress, and staff was truly amazing thanks for having great sweet tea and our sweet waitress making suggestions, all were great. This restaurant was a pleasure and pleasant surprise for me and my family. Directly across the street from my hotel. The atmosphere was inviting for a Missouri boothill meal. The service was great. The food was fresh and hot. Our order was out very fast within 5-7 minutes after we gave our order to the waitress.
We ordered omelets, pancakes, hash browns, bacon, sausage, the biscuits are soft, fluffy and delicious, and coffee.
This type of restaurant is an oddity in this area. I have family in this city, and I’ve been visiting here for over 25 years, and I wish this restaurant was here 25 years ago nevertheless there here now serving great and delicious meals to the community.

I had the chopstake and egg breakfast and it was better than good service was unbelievable, and the young ladies taking care of the tables were in a good mood. Well, it was time for another trip to Missouri, so we stopped for a bite to eat at 84 Cafe. I have a thing for a good cheeseburger so that’s what I went with. The patty was good-sized and looked handmade. The toppings were good, fresh lettuce, onion, pickles, and those tasteless things they call tomatoes. The brioche bun was toasted. The cheese was melty. So where were the seasonings? There was so much potential there to drop the ball, but that’s what happened. The fries were bland as well. The hubby went with the chicken tenders, which came out at least 10 minutes after my food. It’s not awkward at all eating in front of someone, said no one ever. He got a to go box when they came. We had to go hunt down our ticket to leave. We can mark this place off the list. W e probably won’t try them again, but make up your own mind. Don’t forget to tip!

We are three adults originally from Germany, traveling with a baby and a toddler on our way up to Illinois, and we decided to stop at Restaurant 84 in Hayti — absolutely the right choice.
From the moment we walked in, we were welcomed with genuine kindness. The staff was extremely friendly, patient, and wonderfully family-oriented. They immediately helped us with seating, provided a high chair, and treated our little ones like VIP guests.
The food was excellent — fresh, flavorful, and served quickly. The portions were generous, the prices fair, and everything tasted like true quality American comfort food. Even with two small children (and all the extra time and chaos that comes with that), the service stayed calm, attentive, and caring.
The restaurant itself is clean, cozy, and has that warm “travelers welcome” atmosphere that you don’t find everywhere. You can tell the team here really takes pride in their work.
For anyone traveling through — especially families — Restaurant 84 in Hayti is a real gem. We’ll definitely stop by again on our next trip toward Illinois.

It was a very clean and inviting atmosphere. The waitress all was very polite and friendly. Even the customer was polite. Where we are from you don’t always see that. We are from Danville, Illinois. Traveling through but I would definitely recommend this restaurant to all travelers.
