Found a great breakfast place in Pleasanton! Came here for breakfast at 8am – ordered Skillet and Pancakes – all delicious!! Loved their Christmas decorations and cozy vibes. Very quick and friendly service. I loved the indoor seating, very spacious and have screens for games too

Busy Holiday Brunch with Mixed Results
We stopped by Toast Grill around 12:30 PM on a holiday Monday. The place was absolutely packed, which usually is a good sign! Luckily, we were able to get a table for two immediately, but that’s where the “speed” ended.

The Service & Timing:
It took about 15 minutes after being seated for a waiter to check in with us–and that was only after we reminded them we were ready to order. Our food arrived about 20 minutes later, but without silverware. We had to wait another 5 minutes for them to bring some, so our dishes were unfortunately getting cold by the time we could actually eat.

The Food:
* Crabs Benedict: This was a major disappointment. It was honestly the worst I’ve had. I couldn’t taste the crab meat at all, and both the bread and the hollandaise sauce were lousy and tasteless. I’d recommend skipping this one.
* French Skillet Dish: My wife ordered this with country-style potatoes. It was “decent,” though it’s worth noting they serve it on a regular plate rather than an actual skillet.
* Drinks: We ordered a vanilla latte and a pistachio latte. The pistachio latte was served lukewarm initially, but to their credit, the staff was happy to swap it out for a fresh, hot one.

Ambiance & Facilities:
The overall look and feel of the restaurant are very nice, which explains the crowd. However, the restrooms were underwhelming–specifically, they were quite dirty and only had one urinal, which isn’t ideal for a high-volume brunch spot.

Final Verdict:
We were initially excited because the place looks great, but the actual dining experience was just “okay.” We aren’t giving up on it yet, though; we plan to return one more time with the kids to try some different dishes and see if it was just an off day.

Extensive breakfast menu! Both sweet and savory. Not to mention the Mimosa tower. This place was packed at 12pm on Sunday but little to no wait for a table. They do have outdoor shaded seating. Also this seems to be THE SPOT for birthdays since we heard them singing and cheering at least 4 times. Can get quite loud. Not to mention the chorus of “SHOTS SHOTS SHOTS” lol. (Not sung for the kiddos birthday, in case ppl were wondering). I asked for the most popular sweet breakfast and was told the berry waffle and the banana foster French toast. So we got one of each. The waffle was PERFECT! The bananas foster was expectedly sweet and yummy, but may be over the sweet threshold for some. Also ordered the kids pancakes. I’m pretty sure those 4 mini pancakes equal one huge pancake! Which was perfect for taking the leftovers. Can’t wait to come back for the chilaquiles.

I’ve been to the toast and Willow Glen and was highly disappointed, they had no air conditioning, it was very hot, with the concrete floor and a few tables it was very noisy in there. Decided to go to the Pleasanton store as we were driving through to see if our experience in Pleasanton was any different. My cousin ordered the pancakes which were huge and seemed to be decent, I ordered the corned beef hash skillet. What they brought was a corned beef hash benedict which had so little hash on it you really had to look for it. Overall it was a disappointing experience, I had very high expectations and high hopes.

Accidentally found this place when we planned to meet too early at another nearby restaurant. Thank goodness!!

The menu is a list of favorite breakfast and lunch comfort foods, with a great section devoted to Mexican dishes, too.

We had the breakfast molcajete and the chilaquiles (with steak). Everything was done to perfection. The red sauce on the chilaquiles stands out for flavor. Great variety in the molcajete. The country potatoes!

Good coffee and an eye-widening Bloody Mary completed the order.

Also, it seemed to me that there could be an intentional lower-salt thing going on… Yay.

Looks like we just stumbled onto our new meet-for-breakfast spot!

Came in with a group of 16 on a Saturday AM for brunch, and they were awesome in accommodating us. Service was friendly and quick, our server Darvin was super nice! Food was good too – good portions. Pictured are the chilaquiles and some masa pan pancakes which both were good.

I was excited to try a different breakfast restaurant near Pleasanton. The entrance is kind of confusing.I walked through what I thought was the front door, but realized the host station was at the other door. Not an issue, just a notation. The food looked good although it was had no flavor except for maybe the sausage. We had the traditional skillet and the classic breakfast. Service wasn’t bad, there was just not any service. No check ins and had to ask for the bill after waiting a considerable amount of time. There was staffing just not any waiters or servers. Minor issues, however I probably won’t be back since there are other restaurants with better service and more flavorful food for less money.

Cut the opportunity to go to toast round afternoon early morning. I got the Bananas Foster French toast as a meal. It was very tasty so if you have a sweet tooth or likes extra sweet, this is the best option. I would return and try other things on the menu. The staff was very friendly, I believe Mario was our server and he was very helpful. And they have alcoholic drinks on the menu, they have a Mexican options. Lunch options look very tasty and I just chose to go with breakfast option that day. But I’d love to go back and try some of the Mexican options next time. If you read this far just close this app and go to toast you will not be dissatisfied

This place is very open and lively. Service however, was nonexistent. I arrived at 11:30 AM where a person immediately dropped off water at our table. The last contact with the person was 11:31 AM. Several employees walked by our table. I attempted to make eye contact to ask for service, every one of them that I looked at, looked away from me. After waiting 20 minutes to see if someone would help us I went to the host table and asked for a server. They apologized, talked to the , I watched the server walk up to two other tables before theserver arrived approximately five minutes later. We placed our orders. We’re eating approximately 50 minutes after our arrival. The coffee options are good. The food is bland, Maybe they call it toast because the food is meant to be bland like dry toast. After everyone was done, we waited another 20 minutes to see if our waiter would return with our bill. I again had to go to the Host stand to advise that we would like our bill so that we can leave their restaurant. Despite the complaints, no manager stop by to check in. The most attention we got was when it was time to pay the bill and the waiter handed me the scanner. This was the most time our server spent with us. This organization could benefit by training their employees on what it means to provide surface excellence. A company can be busy and still acknowledge its customers. A simple acknowledgment to say the server is running behind would’ve been enough. I would not recommend this place for Families, Business luncheons, or just a casual dining experience.
